| Dry Lips is a sort of spin off of Tomson Highway's 1986 play "The Rez Sisters". The Focus of this play is on the men and their wive's hockey team. The setting takes place on an Indian Reservation where everyone seems to know everyone. Dry Lips won the Floyd S. Chalmers award in 1989 for best new Canadian play. |

| Originally Tomson Highway went to school to study piano. After he went to University, Highway traveled to Ontario Canada to work with Native groups in order to write his plays. In 1986 he wrote "The Rez Sisters" which became a hit. He then moved on to writing "Dry Lips Oughta Move to Kapuskasing". |
