| GWL RULES & MORE | ||||||||||
| The following items set forth the Rules and Regulations of GWL. They are designed to help you have fun here and prevent misunderstandings. If you have any questions concerning the Rules and Regulations, please contact a Staff member with your concerns. (1) Once you have sent an Application to the owner with all your character's info, you may cut a promo. After you have cut a promo your Bio will be posted and you will be scheduled for a match. (2) You may have up to 3 characters in GWL, but we recommend no more than 2. Please do not use a real wrestler as your character/characters. Original characters only. (3) The OOC Board is for Out-of-Character messages only. Use the OOC board to post your comments, ideas, or questions. (4) The Promo Board is for Promos only. Please refrain from posting OOC messages on the Promo Board. (5) RESULTS : There is an Inner Circle of wrestlers that each week will cast their votes for each match..In case of a tie, the owner will cast the deciding vote.... At times you may win or lose without the Inner Circle vote for storyline and angle purposes. The Inner Circle is comprised of wrestlers that the owner trusts 100%, and their identities are known only bt the owner, so please do not try and pester the inner circle for votes..IT WILL GET YOU NOWHERE!!! (6) Do not complain if results happen to be late. Staff members volunteer their services for your entertainment. If results will be late we will provide an explanation and will try to improve promptness of results in the future. (7) Do not complain if you lose. Everyone loses eventually. Complaining does not go over well with Staff members. (8) Do not use other active wrestlers or active Staff members in your promos without permission. Non-active wrestlers and Staff members may be used without permission. (9) Do not use real wrestlers or professional wrestling federations in your promos unless it is done in a passing comment. Remember, it's 'fantasy wrestling'. (10) Do not use ALL CAPS for your promos. You may use ALL CAPS in portions of your promo to emphasize a word or phrase but please do not use them for your entire promo. (11) You may post your promo on a separate web page or web site as long as you provide the appropriate link to the promo. (12) There is a 4 Roleplay per week limit per character. We ask for at least two roleplays if you are booked for that week's card. If you know you will be unable to roleplay that week, please let the owner know in advance so he won't book you on the card. (13) Keep promos to a reasonable length. Extremely long multi-part promos should be the exception not the rule. (14) Do not create or cause arguments on the OOC or Roleplay Boards. All participants in the argument will be reprimanded and, if it continues, will be subject to suspension or release. (15) Do not swear in your promos unless you adequately bleep out enough of the word or words. Examples include: a**, sh*t, f*ck, etc. The best solution is to not use words like this in the first place. They don't use them on RAW, so we don't either. (16) Keep sexual references to an absolute minimum. (17) Do not use terms such as roleplay in your promos. Act as if you are cutting a real promo. (18) Do not use the real name of the handler behind the wrestler unless they have authorized you to do so. Example: Use Mad Dog Murdock instead of Skip. Can you imagine if the WWE wrestlers called the Rock 'Dwayne' ? (19) Promo deadlines will be posted and adhered to. If you cut a promo after the deadline it will not count. (20) Matches will be decided based on content and originality of your promos. It should be remembered that it is not how many promos you cutit is the quality of the promos presented. At times, a finish may have to go the other way for 'storyline purposes. Please don't take it personal if you out-roleplayed your opponent and lost. (21) If you no-show for two weeks in a row, you will be demoted to the GWL 'INACTIVE' roster. This means that we will use your character in the way we see fit, unless you email us with an "injury request" (when you will be unable to promo), or you formally quit on the OOC board, at which time you will be removed from the roster. (22) We don't play favorites. GWL is strictly entertainment, and if you lose here and there, don't take it so hard. This fed is based on storyline, and that is key. We want to give everyone a fair shot. If you don't understand why you lost, please email the owner and he'll try to explain why. Success is not given in GWL, it's earned. (23) In order for a run-in or interview request to be used, you HAVE to email the owner explaining how it will be used for storyline purposes. We can't have every character being attacked every card. There has to be a reason. I will not honor angles, requests, run ins, etc., without it being "officially submitted". (24) If there are any 'loopholes' problems, or other occurances not covered in the GWL Rules, it will be up to the owner to decide on how it is dealt with. The owner's word is final. (25) And last, but not least, of the rules and regulations is: HAVE FUN AND DONT TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY! |
