| Steel Daddy Biography |
| Skip Lilly ( Steel Daddy) was influenced by the Steel Drum sound initially at Stanley's Welcome Bar in Cane Garden Bay on the Island of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands back in 1982. After many years of visiting these islands, Skip developed a personal passion for the Steel Pan. |
| After graduating from East Carolina University in 1995 with a business and marketing degree, Skip was a charter boat captain for the Moorings on a 51 foot Sailboat. It was here that he developed a personal bond with the Steel Drum and started to explore the artform of Steel Pan. |
| After leaving island life and getting into corporate america, in 2000, Skip took the steps to purchase a steel drum from Trinidad and began to teach himself to play the Steel Pan. A couple small apperances in GA, VA and NC was all it took before this hobby got out of control. |
| Skip has played in some great venues like: Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville Cafe, Atlantic City, Snowshoe Resort in WV, PGA, Florida Marlins, The Homestead, Jimmy Buffetts new Chain, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Foxy's, Last Resort, Jolly Rodger, Pirates, Jumbies in the British Virgin Islands to name a few. Special parties for Senators and most recently played for Mark Omera from the PGA Tour. |
| ;Skip has met and trained at Ellie Mannette's steel drum workshop in Morgantown WV. Ellie , pictured right, from Trinidad, is the inventor of the Modern Day 55 Gallon Steel Drum. Also, pictured left with Steel Daddy is Robert Greenidge (Jimmy Buffett's Steel Drum Player)and Ray Holman to his left. |

| Skip likes to spend his free time in the outdoors. Great loves are Sailing, Skiing Camping and Fly fishing. |

| Skip works for Vision HR, a human resource outsourcing company in Daytona Beach. He is the Insurance Agency Manager, and also sells and markets the services. This company helps businesses with payroll, HR compliance, benefits, business insurance, and staffing. |
