I’ve Started a New Project
This is my first attempt
at painting, and I may have bitten off more than I can chew, or paint, as the
case may be. This project came about
because Susan was talking about getting someone she knows to do it, and she
isn’t cheap. So…. like everything else
I get myself into, it started with these words;” Are you crazy? I can do that, and for a lot less
money!” And that’s how I began my mural
around the screened porch.
It doesn’t really have a
theme, though it does represent a bygone era, and it doesn’t even do that
consistently. Some of it seems to be in
the turn of the century time frame, while other parts are even older, and some
newer. It is made up of pictures I have
found in books, as well as David Winters cottages Susan has around the house, and
things I just pull out of my imagination.
Anyway, I’m about half through and I thought I would put it out there to
be critiqued, so here it is. Before you
start I do want to say that the photography is not so great. It was photographed in bad light. Yeah, that’s the ticket. Bad light.
