Episode
2
The
episode opens to Ichigo's dad trying to kill Ichigo --- er I mean wake
him up. If that means to wake your child is trying to kill him, yeah.
It
seems that after the events of the previous night, all the memories of
it have been wiped and everyone thinks a truck driver destroyed part of
their house. Ichigo wonders where Rukia went to, and if she returned to
Soul Society.
The
scene switches to lunch time at the school. Two girls - Tatsuki and Orihime
are walking down the corridor commenting on their lunch. Orihime eats
very strange food, which Tatsuki finds disturbing. They bump into Ichigo,
who knocks Orihime over, but she runs off because Ichigo 'has a scary
face', apparently. Tatsuki asks where he has been, as its lunch time,
and Ichigo says 'stuff happened, tell ya later'.
As
he enters the class room, his friends all ask about the 'Truck incident',
as they know it as. His large friend (and I mean by height and muscle
here) called Chad offers to help, but Ichigo declines. As Ichigo asks
what class they have next, a girl turns up to say that she's sitting next
to him in class. Ichigo almost wets himself with shock, and Rukia holds
out her hand and the note says 'make a scene and I'll kill you!'
Later
on, Rukia explains that Ichigo took all her powers, so she was forced
to return to a faux body in the mean time. This means she has to take
a human shape while her powers recover, and that means Ichigo has to do
her Death God work. He refuses at first, but then Rukia forces his Death
God self out of his body (like knocking his soul out) and takes him to
a place where a child is getting attacked by a Hollow. Ichigo states that
he must save him, and Rukia says not to be selfish. This is because he
said he only fought as a Death God the previous night because his family
was in danger. After he beats the Hollow and sends the Plus to Soul Society,
he remarks that he is not ready, but he is not the kind of scum who will
sit idly by and watch people in front of him being attacked.
The
scene switches to another soul of a young man watching Orihime though
her window. He is suddenly attacked by three Hollows and, in short, turned
into one against his will.
The scene switches
to the next day with Rukia chanting Japanese. Ichigo screams at her to
shut up and stop following him. She says she wont until he agrees to do
his Death God work. He huffs at that and continues walking, until they
hear a car screech. They look over to see a car drive off and Orihime
on the ground. They run over to check if she's okay, and it turns out
she's fine. She walks home and Rukia notices a strange mark on her leg.
It switches to
sunset, and Rukia asks if Ichigo is close to Orihime. He says not really,
and that her brother died at his families clinic from a car crash three
years ago. Rukia asks how his spirit power was then and he replies saying
it was nothing like it is now. They then part with a few jabs at each
other for their homes.
Later on at Orihime's
apartment, Tatsuki drops by to give her some Beef Stew. She playfully
comments that without them around she eats rediculous food.
The scene switches
to Ichigo's house where he has an arguement with Yuzu about him being
so mean since he entered high school. He says he hasn't and doesnt know
where her missing clothes are. After that Rukia's mobile phone starts
beeping, and then she jumps out of Ichigo's cupboard, much to his alarm.
Then Rukia says they have orders, and a Hollow's arm appears from his
wall!
After a bit of
fighting, in which Ichigo's room goes to hell, he manages to slash the
mask over the Hollow's face, and he sees a man's beneath it. The Hollow
shrieks and dissapears thought the roof. Its then that Ichigo recognises
the Hollow as Orihime's brother.
Down in Hollow
Land (or whatever it is) Orihime's brother reforms ...
Back in Ichigo's
room, Rukia reveals that all Hollow's were once humans once, and to reduce
the risk of damage from fighting, to crack their skull from behind. She
says that some souls linger on earth due to emotional attachments and
are sometimes ensnared by Hollows, become new ones.
Back at Orihime's
house, she tells Tatsuki about the accident. She wants to kill Ichigo
for not walking her home, but Orihime says she didnt need him to. Its
revealed here if you use your imagination that she might have a small
crush on him. Then they start to hear noises and the teddy bear on the
shelf gets a split. The episode ends here.
