Characters

There are a lot of new characters appearing in Bleach already! Here they are in order of appearence:
Note: I'll be using the English way of using their names and stats.

Ichigo Kurosaki

Age: 15
Height: Taller than most people
Hair colour: Orange
Occupation: Highschool freshman/Death God

Ichigo is your typical guy. He's often referred to as a badass, has a quick temper on occasions (especially in relation to his dad) and can fight very well. This is proven straight away as the first sight you see is him beating up three guys for knocking over a tribute to a dead child in the street. He can also see ghosts since he could remember.
Ichigo has a softer side to him, as all guys do, and is considerate of others --- most of the time. He is reluctant at first to get involved with the Death God work he now has to do, but he eventually sees that although he isn't really convinced, he must try to help stop the Hollows from attacking people.

Rukia Kuchiki

Age: Unknown; but looks the same age as Ichigo in appearence.
Height: Normal
Hair colour: Black
Occupation: Death God

Rukia is pretty mysterious for most of the first 12 episodes, but for the most part she is a work-o-holic, friendly but with an unfortunate habit of kicking people. Its clear she cares about Ichigo as time goes on, but is entirely unsure how to express her feelings about it. She likes to irritate Ichigo sometimes with a different voice that she uses at school, and enjoys learning about earth.

Yuzu Kurosaki

Occupation: Junior school student/house cook and cleaner

Yuzu is a very kind girl and also Ichigo's youngest sister. Not much can be said about her as she does not play a big role in the show, but she can sense spirit's presence in the house. She also acts as a nurse when her father needs her help for their Clinic.

Karin Kurosaki

Occupation: Junior school student

Karin is the tough girl of the family. She likes belting up her father and confides in Ichigo about some things. She does not like to show her emotions unless under dire circumstances.

Isshin Kurosaki

Age: In his 40's most likely

Occupation: Nurse

The big lively joker around the house, Ichigo's father enjoy's fighting with his son, playing with his daughters and being a general idiot around the house. He's extremly energetic, but he has his lucid moments where he can give Ichigo a good bit of advice. And like Ichigo, he can sometimes have a quick temper.

Sado (Chad) Yasutora

Age: 15
Height: Very tall
Hair colour: Dark brown
Occupation: Highschool student

Sado, or Chad as is his nickname, is a very kind and gentle guy. He also doesn't talk much unless its nessasary. He seems to have a lot more strength than normal people, and later on into the series this 'strength' takes form as some funky armour on his right arm. He can use this to split Hollow's in half. His role in life it seems is to protect people.

Orihime Inoue

Age: 15

Hair colour: Red
Occupation: Highschool student

'Hime is a sweet girl who lives on her own. She used to live with her older brother, but he died in a car crash a long time ago. She is a very strong person and warm hearted, and likes to eat strange combinations of food. Later on in the series she becomes more spiritually aware of her powers and the hair pins she wears become six 'flowers', who are like fairies in appearence. They each have their own special powers.

Tatsuki Arisawa

Age: 15
Height:
Hair colour: Blacky blue
Occupation: Highschool student

A fighter to the core, Tatsuki is a national wrestling champion in her age group. She is very strong and beats people up if they go near Orihime. She is very protective of her and is also close friends with Ichigo. While she is tough on the surface, she can be rather sensitive to other's feelings.

Ichigo's Classmates

Ametatsu (Uryuu) Ishida

Age: 15
Height:
Hair colour: Bluey black
Occupation: Highschool student/Quincy

Its no wonder this guy is bitter at first -- he's the last Quincy alive, and he hates Death Gods. The reason? His granfather was the last Quincy and was killed by Hollows, and the Death Gods did not come to help him. As Uryuu had seen all of this, he vowed to hate Death Gods forever. He is very serious all the time and a great sewer, but has a coldness about him that makes others hesident of being around him. After a battle between him and Ichigo, he became friendly towards him and Rukia. But he still remains his hatred for Death Gods in general.

The manager aka Urahara

Occupation: Shop owner and who knows what else

No one is really sure what this guy is, or what he's doing on Earth. For most of the series so far, he helps Rukia by giving her items from Soul Society. She once referred to him as a merchant, but there is clearly a lot more to him than that. Later on, he helps train Ichigo to help control his massive spirit power.

Tessai, Jinta and Ururu

These three are the helpers for Urahara in their mission to ... well, I dunno yet. But they help Ichigo get rid of hollows sometimes and also help him train. Tessai is a strong man with excelent magical tallents. Jinta is a little ratbag who fights almost as much as Ichigo (its s shame they dont get along) and Ururu is a shy girl but not afriad to fight.

Kon

Age: Unknown
Height: Depends on the body he's in
Hair colour: ^
Occupation: Modified soul / Ichigo's body keeper

Kon is a modified soul. These souls were made by Soul Society to help fight the hollows, but they were all scrapped due to saftey reasons. Kon is the lone survivor. They have super powers and are built to fight; Kon in particular has super speed and can jump really high. While Kon may have stolen Ichigo's body for a short time, they eventually became allies (friends being too strong a word) and Ichigo cruely stuffed his soul into that of a Lion plushie toy. This is how he is usually seen, and isn't too happy with it either. He loves Rukia heaps too.

Yoruichi

Age: Unknown
Height: About 60 cm
Hair colour: Black
Occupation: Urahara's friend

Yoruichi is a cat. A talking cat. He scares the crap out of most people by this small fact. Not much is known about him, but he seems to be close to Urahara. It also seems he is rather famous in Soul Society.

Zangetsu

Age: No age
Height: Depends on the form
Hair colour: In human form, dark brown
Occupation: Ichigo's Soul Slayer

Zangetsu is Ichigo's Soul Slayer. At first, Ichigo knew nothing of the naming of Soul Slayers until later on in the series. However, Ichigo 'met' a man in black with glasses who talked to him. At first Ichigo didn't know who he was, but then he figured it out and soon worked out his name. After that, his Soul Slayer changed its shape into a more unique sword. Zangetsu in his human form helps Ichigo with good advice, but other than that, not much is really known about 'him' as a person.
