Skywarp filed in the last of his reports to his boss, and then sighed. He looked
out of the windows for a moment, then grinned. Finally he could go home and
have some fun!
He stretched with a loud yawn, and his boss, Lazerwave, looked over at him with
a chuckle.
“Did I tire you out again, ‘Warp?” He asked playfully. He
was a good natured boss, but unlike most bosses he was actually a past Autobot
medic. But for some reason he had no real grudge against the former Decepticons,
and therefore made a good one.
“Of course you did!” Skywarp replied with fake anger. “You
ALWAYS work me too hard!”
But Lazerwave merely laughed louder.
“Go on home,” He said; flashing him a grin, “Otherwise I might
end up keeping you here longer.”
Skywarp winked, and then headed home.

“So ‘Warp, did you get into trouble like usual today?”
“Haha,” Skywarp replied sarcastically. He was lounging on one of
the couches in their living room, his hands behind his head and his ankles crossed
while TC got some energon mixed up, like cocktails. “As a matter of fact,
I was very good today!”
“Well isn’t that a shock?” TC snickered, grinning at him and
walking over with some multicoloured energon cubes. He tossed one to Skywarp
and then sat down on his couch with a sigh, copying Skywarp’s position.
“So,” Skywarp said, looking out at Cybertron’s sunset. “Have
you lot figured out the new rules yet?”
“Some of them …” Thundercracker mused. “Like ‘No
former Autobot and Decepticon will fight in the Arena, for example.”
Skywarp snickered.
“And then there’s ones like ‘No maiming’, ‘Only
legal combat moves permitted’, ‘Must have a clearance to get in’
… that’s about all I can think of off the top of my head. It’s
not all in black and white yet …”
“’No maiming’?” Skywarp whined. “Gaaaah …
I guess a few of the real fighters won’t be too happy with that rule.”
“We have to make it so it’s not barbaric as it used to be, Skywarp.”
The blue jet said seriously. “And that’s one of ‘em.”
Skywarp gave a disgruntled sigh. “Well, I hope for the warrior’s
sake it will help them mould themselves back into this world …”

The next day was the equivalent of a weekend on Earth. It was the day when
everyone had a day off … except those who worked on this day. The end
of the week; the one day everyone could relax.
It was this day that was chosen to have the get together of the former Decepticons.
And so, they all arrived at the Iacon stadium, small compared to some of the
others, but perfect for the needs of the army. Snacks and drinks, music and
games were all the transformers needed, apart from themselves. It was this day
that was chosen to have the get together of the former Decepticons.
And so, they all arrived at the Iacon stadium, small compared to some of the
others, but perfect for the needs of the army. Snacks and drinks, music and
games were all the transformers needed, apart from themselves.
Some of the ‘cons from the Care Centre came out to the gathering, but
most of them wanted to stay locked up, unable to bear the thought of all the
others happy and acceptance of this world. But the others came out, and one
of those was Megatron.
“Starscream …” Megatron said warningly as they stepped outside
of the Centre and into the dying sunlight. “This better not be a bad idea
…”
The red seeker grinned at him, “Now, now, you don’t want me to hold
your hand do you?”
The seeker jumped up with a laugh as Megatron took a swipe at him. The jet was
very happy to have Megatron out of that place, but he carefully hid that as
he didn’t think Megatron would appreciate it. It had taken him a lot of
persuasion to get him out of there, as Megatron was not sure what people would
think of him now. But Starscream had smiled and said they would still be just
as proud and respectful of him as they always were.
“Besides, why not take a chance?” Starscream had said.
And so, here they were flying down to the stadium to greet the rest of the Decepticons.
Starscream saw the lights shining on the dance floor, and the music as it pumped
out. Hell this really WAS a party. Just Decepticons having fun together …
just like old times, but without the stress. This would be perfect for him …
They landed, looking on the scene that Starscream thought he’d never see,
and grinned widely. Soundwave came up to meet him, and they nodded at one another
and grinned (Soundwave in his own way)
“Three passes.” The tape deck said to casher, who grinned evilly
and handed them a small badge so they could be admitted. They past though the
gates and were met with a wave of sound.
.::DIG THOUGH THE DITCHES AND BURN
THOUGH THE WITCHES
AND SLAM IN THE BACK OF MY DRAGULA!::.
“Alright!” Starscream shouted. “I love this song!”
Megatron was overwhelmed slightly, but he knew he shouldn’t be as he
had held a few parties of his own in the base before, to lift moral. But never
as grand as this … could he enjoy himself?
Yes. It was time to have some fun and just soak up the sounds.
Starscream smiled at him, then looked a bit adhesive, as if he thought he should
stay with Megatron. But the ex-leader merely nodded to the crowd with a small
grin, and he gave a bright smile and ran into it with a whoop.
Soundwave shook his head, and motioned for Megatron to follow him over to one
of the couches along the walls. There were a few people sitting there, also
soaking up the sounds or just resting from dancing. Megatron decided to enjoy
this night … even if his inner self way crying out to be one of those
happy ‘Cons …
Skywarp and Thundercracker jumped on the stage, grabbing a pair of mikes and
grinning like lunatics.
“Decepticons of Old!” Skywarp screamed though the mike, “Let
me give you, THE SEEKER TRIO!!!”
The crowd yelled, and Starscream actually blushed as Thundercracker grabbed
him and pulled him on stage. He was shoved in the front, and a spotlight from
nowhere shone on him.
“This song is dedicated to the Screaming One, Starscream!” Thundercracker
spoke. “He may have been a pain in the rear end, but he was one hell of
a flyer, so this song is for him!”
And the band started up, pounding out Cybertronian rock music as they sung together;
“He says, I got something to say
He knows what he says will change everything
He's laid through so many sleepless nights
He’s crying, he’s crying, he’s crying
Seeker. That ‘bot took my soul away
Leader. How could you ever treat me this way?
Soldier. Don't ever let him do this again
This time it’s over I’m gonna make it end
Now it’s over and the old ‘bot is in
Lying on the ground. Bullet in his head
He stood at the foot of the guilty bed last night
He held what could set him free for the rest of his life
He did all that he said that he planned to do
He’s through, he’s through, he’s through, yeah
Seeker. That ‘bot took my soul away
Leader. How could you ever treat me this way?
Soldier. Don't ever let him do this again
This time it’s over I’m gonna make it end
Now it’s over and the old ‘bot is in
Lying on the ground. Bullet in his head
There’s a bullet in your head
I kept fallin' down, look who's fallin' now
I kept cryin' out, look who's cryin' now
I kept fallin' down, look who's fallin' now...
I’m ready, I’m ready, I’m ready
Now it’s over, this is what he said
He's lyin' on the ground. Bullet in his head.”
Starscream had sat on the edge of the stage, bopping his head as the duo sung
the song to him, still blushing slightly. He had had NO idea they were going
to do this … but he loved it. Watching all the old ‘cons either
dancing, listening or over drinking energon, they were still listening and looking
at him. Starscream saw that there was no longer much of that fear he had striked
into their sparks. He loved it. Really and truly loved it.
He got up as the crowd cheered after the song ended, and punched Skywarp in
the shoulder playfully.
“If you don’t mind Skywarp,” The red seeker said with a grin.
“I would like to sing a song with you and Thundercracker”
TC grinned. “You got one in mind?”
“As a matter of fact,” Starscream said, “It’s something
I’ve wanted to try out. And I believe you both know it. Figure-09.”
Both looked at each other. “You read our minds.”
The band started up, and Soundwave climbed up to D-jay the song, and Skywarp
began:
“Nothing ever stops all these thoughts
And the pain attached to them
Sometimes I wonder why this is happening
It's like nothing I can do
Would distract me when
I think of how I shot myself in the back again
'Cause from the infinite words I could say
I put all the pain you gave to me on display
But didn't realize instead of setting it free
I took what I hated and made it apart of me
It never goes away
It never goes away”
And then Thundercracker and Starscream began:
“And now
You've become a part of me
You'll always be right here
You've become a part of me
You'll always be my fear
I can't separate myself from
What I've done
I've given up a part of me
I've let myself become you”
Skywarp retook the spotlight with the second verse:
“Hearing your name the memories come back again
I remember when it started happening
I'd see you in every thought I had and then
The thoughts slowly found words attached to them
And I knew as they escaped away I was
Committing myself to them and every day
I regret saying those things
'Cause now I see that
I took what I hated and made it apart of me
It never goes away
It never goes away”
And again, Thundercracker and Starscream did the chorus and the bridge:
“And now
You've become a part of me
You'll always be right here
You've become a part of me
You'll always be my fear
I can't separate myself from
What I've done
I've given up a part of me
I've let myself become you”
And they all finished together:
“GET AWAY FROM ME!
Give me my space back, You've gotta just (GO!)
Everything just comes down to memories of (you)
I've kept it in without letting you (KNOW!)
I've let you go!
And now
You've become a part of me
You'll always be right here
You've become a part of me
You'll always be my fear
I can't separate myself from
What I've done
I've given up a part of me
I've let myself become you
I've let myself become you
I've let myself become lost inside
These thoughts of you
Giving up on part of me
I've let myself become you”
As the crowd cheered again, Starscream noticed something. He had been keeping
an eye on him the entire time with occasional glances, but he couldn’t
when he was singing, being too wrapped up in the music. But now when he looked
at the spot where he had seen him last, Starscream saw that he was not there.
Megatron was gone.
