Indigo, the Decepticon heir
It had
been two days since Starscream had been into his pregnancy.
That’s
right, it began like this: Megatron needs an heir to the throne of the empire.
A real one, not just Second in command. Transformers had found out about the
so-called ‘pregnancy’ of Transformers, and discovered how it happened.
There is
a chamber in some transformer’s bodies, a small one around the torso area that
can host another spark. The host accepts a transfer of energy from the
corresponding Transformer, and the new spark would be made and matured after
four cycles. On the fifth day, the host would fall unconscious for any hours
time, which the new spark would come out of the hosts body and form its own
body around itself, which was programmed into the spark by the ‘parents’. The
transformer would remain baby sized for two months, until it ‘grew out’ of its
old body and ‘created’ a new one for itself.
In this
case, Starscream was compatible with Megatron.
Not that
the seeker had much choice in the matter. Megatron knew what a powerful child
he could create if Starscream were to be the host (or he hoped for) and Starscream
agreed to it.
Secretly,
he had always wanted a child. He was a scientist at heart, and having one would
be an interesting experience. Well, one with Megatron was not what he had
planned, but he was eager also to see how strong something like this could
really be.
But he
was NOT prepared for Megatron’s way of … doing things, but the result was the
same.
Starscream
was now in day two of his pregnancy. He was asleep now, as the spark took up to
80% of his energy to manage and mature, as it got ready to be born. He was
sprawled out on his bed, his mouth slightly open and his optics shut; one of
his arms was lying across his chest and other above his head. His computer was
downloading some files, and sometimes beeping as the files completed.
***
Megatron
had warned everyone of the new ‘arrival’, and they wondered why he had chosen
Starscream to be the carrier.
“He was
the only one compatible with myself,” He said. “Besides, his speed will travel
to the child, along with my power, and that will create a formidable opponent
indeed …”
And so it
went for another two days. Starscream, being awake for only a few hours a day,
came into the control room to do some minor work, or sometimes went flying for
a little while to relieve tensions about the new transformer. Otherwise, he was
in his room doing some paperwork, or sleeping. Megatron encouraged it, and told
him that he was not to over exert himself in anyway, shape or form.
And thus
we come to the fifth day.
Starscream
was attending a mission briefing, for Megatron needed both him and Soundwave
there for authority purposes. The mission was to create solar panels in the
Sahara desert to collect energy, and henceforth send it to Cybertron as Energon
cubes.
Starscream
wasn’t really interested in the topic, but listened all the same as Soundwave
said how it would be done, and Scrapper’s designs and Hook’s critiques. It was
then that in Starscream’s mind, reality began to slow down … the voices became
a blur, and he was suddenly very aware of the other spark he was carrying in
his body …
Thunk.
Hook
stopped talking abruptly. The commanders all looked to where Starscream had
been sitting a moment before, and saw that he was now lying on the floor,
unconscious.
“What in
the – Starscream!” Megatron snarled, walking over to him and crouching down. He
tapped his face twice, but it heeded no response.
“It’s the
spark, …” Hook said, also crouching down. “The child will be born soon.”
***
Once
Megatron carried the red seeker back to his room, the meeting went on. After it
had finished, the Decepticon leader gave orders out to his troops and then
retired to his quarters for a while. He was going to check up with Shockwave
about the current energy supplies on Cybertron.
Back in
Starscream’s quarters, the seeker was unaware that his torso area had begun to
glow with a blue light … the panel on the silver of his torso opened up, and
the new spark floated out to sit on his chest. It then glowed brightly itself,
and the new body was formed, curled up in a ball on the seeker’s chest. The
light faded, and all was still for a moment.
Then the
baby began to stir. It opened its new optics and saw that it was curled up on
someone. Was it his creator? …
Starscream
jolted, and woke up slowly. His optics came online and opened, and he was
greeted with a very cute and surprising sight.
On his
chest sat a tiny seeker, no bigger than the length of his forearm. It looked up
at him; as their optics locked, and Starscream saw that his optics were
crimson, and his face a very light grey, like his own except for the colour.
His head was also more rounded than a normal seeker, but still black. His
shoulders were silver, but his upper arms were red and his chest armour a
blinding white, while his cockpit was a dark shade of blue, as were his lower
arms and hands. His torso and under armour was also red. His pelvis was black,
like Megatron’s own, as were his legs. They were a splitting image of his
‘father’ except they were of seeker design and had a patch of blue on them like
Starscream’s did. His wings, however, were the same as Starscream’s, but the
lines of colour were reversed in order, and much darker. He also noticed that
on both of his arms, there was a plug in which a fusion cannon could go in
each.
The
little guy (for his gender was male, he also noticed) was positively adorable.
Starscream
reached out with his hand and touched the baby’s face with a single finger. He
made a noise of contentment and smiled as Starscream sat himself up, holding
onto him with one hand and sitting himself up with the other. He cradled the
baby in the crook of his arm and smiled as the baby laughed. It was so innocent
and cute that it brought to the surface a lot of old memories of when he was
young too …
The
little seeker watched as Starscream traced his cockpit with a finger, and
grabbed a hold of it. Starscream gasped in surprise at the little guy’s
strength; Megatron had been right about his coming power. Starscream picked him
up and held him up to his face, in which the baby reached out with a tiny hand
and touched his cheek …
Speaking
of which …
He smiled
at the child, and activated his internal radio, calling Megatron to his
quarters.
“I’ve got
something to show you …”
He got the
reply, and then placed the baby back in the crook of his arm again. He merely
smiled at him, being content with being in his creator’s arms.
Soon
enough, the D-con leader arrived at the door. He opened it, with his usual
scowl in place.
“This had
better be inporta-“
He
stopped dead. He noticed the little creature in Starscream’s arms, and
immediately closed the door behind him, staring open-mouthed at what was in
Starscream’s arms.
“Is … is
that …”
Starscream
chuckled, and beckoned Megatron over to him. The stunned leader responded by
walking over slowly, and sat down next to the red seeker, looking down at his
child.
“It’s a
seeker, …” He noted.
Starscream
nodded. For once, there was a very peaceful look on his face as he watched
Megatron stare in awe at his child. He then reached out a hand, and touched the
baby’s own hand. He instantly grabbed the huge finger and chuckled, apparently
pleased with himself. Starscream removed his arm as Megatron picked him up, and
placed the child down next to his leg. The tiny seeker instantly tried to climb
up, and as Megatron’s leg was almost as thick as his entire body, and only just
managed to by sparks flying out of the thrusters on the back of his legs,
propelling him forward so that he fell across Megatron’s leg. The Decepticon
leader laughed, and picked him up with one of his large hands to bring him up
to his face. The little seeker was still smiling as Megatron offered a rare
smile in turn, and, as he did with Starscream, the baby stroked his cheek. Then
the D-con leader jolted as the baby grabbed his nose with a high laugh.
Starscream giggled, and came around behind his leader, as he saw that he was
growing stiff in annoyance, and placed his hands on his shoulders to calm him.
Megatron relaxed a little, as the new child giggled and stroked the new object.
“What
should I name you, you pest?” He smirked as the baby giggled. Starscream came
around to his side again and smiled as he thought of a name.
“Indigo.”
He said.
“Hmm … To
rise unchallenged in the dark …I like that,” Megatron grinned and placed
the seeker on his leg again. Indigo immediately spotted his father’s huge
fusion cannon and crawled over to it, his optics alight with curiosity as he
looked at his face in the shiny surface. He squealed in delight and pounced on
the image of himself, and Starscream laughed as he did, and quickly picked up
the seeker to sit in his lap.
“Lord
Indigo.” The Decepticon Leader murmured as he watched with a grin as the little
seeker curled up in Starscream’s lap, content. “Has a nice ring to it …”
Starscream
nodded at him.
“Now, for
his power …” Megatron brought out a scanner from subspace and ran it over
Indigo’s body. The baby watched the object with wide optics as he followed its
path. Megatron gave an approving grunt as he read the readings, and smiled
evilly.
“I was
right,” He whispered. “His armour is much stronger than that of an ordinary
seeker, and he has two connectors for a fusion cannon in each arm! His maximum
speed even surpasses you, Starscream.”
“Is that so?” The seeker was surprised.
“Yes,”
Megatron nodded, still wearing a grin. “I can’t wait to train him …”
“Not now,
surely!” Starscream said, as though the idea was ludicrous.
Megatron
looked at him like he was stupid. “In two months, he will be fully grown and
well and truly ready for training. If he is going to lead the Decepticons when
I fall, then he will need to start training the same age I did, and that was
two months!”
Starscream
nodded again, but then said, “Megatron …” And turned his head away.
The said
con looked at him. “What is it?”
He looked
back with an accusing stare wrought with worry as well, “Be nice to him.”
Megatron
started to speak in an annoyed tone, but Starscream interrupted, “I hardly ask
you of anything, and I do all the things you ask of me. For once, do this … for
me …”
Megatron
looked into the seeker’s optics, seeing the doubt, and fear that Megatron would
dare hurt their child before he was ready for anything, and it touched him that
Starscream could care for something that was his in such a way. The D-con
leader reached up with a hand and stroked Starscream’s face, and the seeker
leant into his touch.
“I don’t
know how to be nice, …” He whispered.
There was
fear there, in that one line. He remembered his father, and how he at
least has cared about his son as he had raised him; but he did not know
kindness, but he did know passion, for he was passionate about a lot of things:
killing Optimus, saving Cybertron … could he be passionate about his own son?
Starscream
saw his fear, and reached out with his own hand and ran it down his leader’s
face. “I know you can be,” He whispered. “Just while he is a baby … that’s all.
Look at him …”
Megatron
did, looking down to where Indigo had fallen asleep in Starscream’s lap.
Megatron felt himself calm down at the very sight of him … from his very
obvious markings that made him his son, to the sheer cuteness of the newly born
child. He felt a smile on his face also, and realised that he had dropped his
guard completely. He immediately snapped back to reality and looked up at
Starscream again. He saw that he was smiling at him.
“See? Its
not hard.” The seeker said. “Drop your guard once in a while, Megatron. It’s
not like you have to do it in front of everyone else …”
Megatron
nodded. Sometimes, the seeker had some good advice after all. He realised that
it was late now, and that he should get a recharge cycle soon. He smiled as he
looked down at Indigo again, and stroked the tiny seeker’s head.
“He’ll be
strong one day.” Megatron murmured, and then he stood up. Starscream watched
him as he took off his cannon and it dissipated into subspace.
“For a
week… “Megatron said, his hand on the hand plate on the door. “Indigo will need
to be taken care of and taught how to talk and the other things too.” Starscream
knew what he meant by the ‘other things’. “I trust you to keep him hidden from
the other idiots until he is ready to come out. I., however, must stay on
duty.”
“I know.”
Starscream said quietly.
Megatron
noticed the disappointment in his voice, and smirked to himself. He knew what
the seeker wanted, and decided to humour himself for a moment. He turned back
and walked over to where Starscream was sitting. He ran his finger under the
seeker’s chin and full on kissed him. Starscream made a surprised protest that
came out as nothing more than a murmur, and Megatron let him go a few moments
later.
“Thanks.”
He whispered, and Starscream knew what he had thanked him for as his leader
left. He sighed, and looked down at his child. Indigo was still asleep in his
lap, he knew that he needed a good long rest as well. He picked up Indigo and
placed him beside him as the seeker laid down on his side, his wings folding
back as he did, Indigo made a small noise of contentment as Starscream drew him
protectively close, both of his arms clasped around his small body. The baby
smiled and placed on of his hands on Starscream’s chest as he slept, and the
seeker smiled.
“Goodnight,
Indigo.”
***
That
week, Starscream rarely came out of his quarters. Everyone knew why, but
Megatron had told them to stay away from him as he would be in a … protective
mood. They did, and Starscream was left to teach Indigo all he needed to know.
Once
thing was certain; he had inherited Starscream’s huge curiosity to an immense
degree. He mastered speaking very quickly, both in Cybertronian and English (as
they were built into his programming as well) and was often caught crawling up
Starscream’s leg to see what he was doing, and then watch with undivided
attention to whatever video Starscream was playing for him. Starscream found it
to be a splitting image of himself as he was young, but he had the urge for
battle that Megatron had. After he was played a war video, he would often zoom
around the room at a high speed with his pretend guns blazing.
On the
last day of his learning, Starscream had finished playing the last movie on the
history of the Cybertronian Wars, and Indigo was rearing to jump off the desk
he was sitting on and zoom around the room once more. Just as he was about to
leap off the desk, Starscream picked him up.
“Oooh no
you don’t,” He chuckled as Indigo squirmed in his grip.
“But
MUUUUUUUUUUUUUM! I wanna shoot some more Autobots!!” He yelled out. He had
insisted on calling Starscream ‘mum’ ever since he saw a video on humans.
Starscream didn’t seem to mind.
“You are
going to sit tight and wait for Megatron to come in here. He wants to check up
on you.” He said as he got out of his chair and sat on the recharge bed,
carrying an annoyed Indigo with him to sit on his lap.
“Alright!”
Indigo whooped. He loved it when his ‘dad’ came to see them, although he
wouldn’t stay long. It would be so good when he could wonder freely around the
base … meet all the other Decepticons.
“Now you
watch yourself around ‘Dad’.” Starscream warned. “Do exactly as he says and
nothing more, you hear?”
“All
right …” Indigo said, seeming dejected.
Starscream
smiled with a small chuckle, and picked up the little seeker as he lay down on
the bed, and placed him on his chest. Indigo crawled up to his face and nuzzled
his head under Starscream’s chin affectionately, and the seeker grinned and
stroked his back. Indigo gave a sigh and laid down on him, curling up into a
ball and smiled in contentment as Starscream continued to stroke his back.
Suddenly,
there was a sound from the door, which told Starscream it was being unlocked.
Indigo jumped up and hopped off Starscream as he sat up, and the door opened to
reveal Megatron, looking tired but content.
“Well,
the solar panels were set up with out too much grief.” He said by way or
welcome.
“Dad!”
Indigo cheered, and nearly jumped off the bed before Starscream caught him
around his middle, much to his displeasure.
Megatron
chuckled, and wandered over to the bed at sat down, relieving Starscream of the
struggling child. Indigo instantly gave Megatron a hug around his waist,
although he could hardly hug much more than the side, but Megatron smiled at
him and picked him up to gaze at him.
“And just
what do you think you’re doing?” He said authoratively, but the small
smile on his face gave away that he was not at all mad. For some reason, he
found that coming in to see Indigo was a great stress reliever after a hard
days work.
Indigo
giggled, and said, “I want to learn to fly, like you do! Mum showed me the
video of the wars, and some … some had you on there! Flying!”
“I see!”
Megatron placed Indigo on his leg, while Starscream watched them both interact.
Megatron looked over at the seeker with a twisted grin, “So, think its time?”
Starscream
hesitated, “I think it’s best if I teach him to fly first.”
“Hmm …”
Megatron looked down at the little seeker, sitting on his knee and gazing at
him with wide optics, totally alert to what they were saying. “I don’t think
so. I’ve told the others that they are to watch themselves around Indigo … or
they will be decapitated.”
Starscream
grinned evilly. “Or be at the mercy of Indigo himself, isn’t that right?” He
looked down at the little seeker, still perched on Megatron’s leg.
“Yeah!”
He cheered; jumping up and aiming at a target only he could see. Starscream
laughed, and attacked him by waving his fingers about in front of him. Indigo
laughed shrilly and tried to fend off the azure threat, and soon, Indigo jumped
off Megatron’s leg and jumped on Starscream’s lap, trying to push him over onto
his back to continue his assault. Starscream fell back and Indigo bashed his
chest with his navy blue fists, and Megatron watched the scene with a small
grin. Starscream really was becoming a more attractive being to Megatron,
simply by his care and love for their child.
Their
child … even in his mind it sounded weird, but it was the truth. And it excited
him rather than disturbed him.
“Attack
of the killer baby …” The Decepticon leader murmured, and he picked up the
little seeker from attacking Starscream. Indigo stoped thrashing almost as soon
as Megatron picked him up, and looked at his creator with a questioning glance.
“I think
that teaching him to fight is unnecessary for now.” The Decepticon leader said,
as Starscream sat up again. “He will meet the rest of the crew tonight. Also,
Starscream,” He looked over at the red seeker with a smirk. “Thundercracker and
Skywarp are very eager to meet Indigo.”
The
second smirked. “Of course they would be.”
Megatron
smirked again, and then stood up and placed Indigo on his shoulder. He giggled
in delight and stared around the room at this new height. Together, the three
left Starscream’s quarters and headed for the control room.
“One
thing Indigo,” Starscream said to the little seeker as they walked. “Make sure
you don’t call me ‘mum’ when we are near the others, alright?”
“Yes m –
I mean, Starscream.”
***
The
Decepticons, as evil and mean as they were, thought that Indigo was also very
cute. Some, like the Stunticons, didn’t really care much for it; they thought
that the idea was stupid, but they didn’t want to see Starscream lead the
Decepticons if Megatron fell (for he was the heir before Indigo came along) so
they were torn between liking the idea and hating it.
The
Constructicons gave Indigo a thorough scan to check all of his powers and
strengths. They made Megatron very happy when they gave him the results, saying
that he could well be the strongest Decepticon leader in history. Scavenger
instantly fell in love with the little guy, and spent most of his time when
Indigo had been in the Constructicons company letting him play with his tail.
The
little seeker loved the attention of everyone he was meeting. He loved
Scavenger and the Triple Changer Astrotrain so far, as well as Soundwave’s
cassettes, whom were very happy to have someone else their size to talk to.
They played a ball game together for a while, before Starscream fetched him to
show off to the seekers.
“Bye, bye
Rumble!” He called out over Starscream’s shoulder. “Bye Ravage and Frenzy! Bye
Lazerbeak!”
“Seeya!”
They all called out, and then went over to annoy Soundwave about Indigo.
“This is
so cool!” Indigo gushed to Starscream, whom was holding him on his shoulder
with one arm. He turned and smiled at Indigo.
“So, do
you like the ones you’ve met so far?” He asked.
“Yeah!”
The little seeker responded, optics alight with happiness. “Scavenger is really
friendly, and I liked watching Bonecrusher play around with Longhaul in a
wrestling match. That was really funny!” He added with a giggle. “And
Astrotrain was cool too! And All of Soundwave’s cassettes too! They are my
size!”
“Yes,
created for spy work.” Said Starscream, as he arrived at one of the smaller
lounges specifically for the aerial crew. He entered his password and then
entered.
He was
greeted with a huge goofy grin of a certain black seeker whom looked like he
was waiting at the door for them to arrive.
“Well
look who it is!” He snickered. “Mummy Screamer!”
He said
it in good humour, so all Starscream did was give a half-hearted swipe at him,
in which he ducked and laughed, grabbing Starscream’s arm.
“Well
come on! We wanna meet the little guy!”
He then
proceeded to drag Starscream to the three couches that were lain out like a
square, on which sat Thundercracker, Thrust and Ramjet. Dirge was sitting on a
chair on his own, being gloomy as usual. Indigo watched as the seeker that
looked incredibly like his mum pulled him to the couch, and wondered why he
looked so much like him.
The blue
seeker looked on with intense interest as Starscream picked up Indigo and
placed him on his lap so he could see the rest of the seekers.
“Indigo,”
Starscream said, getting his attention. “This is the Seeker Air force, directly
under my command. They are the ones who were most eager to meet you.”
“Too
right!” Skywarp jumped onto the other part of the couch next to Starscream
looking down at Indigo with a huge grin. “I’m Skywarp!”
Starscream
smirked at him, and then said, “And this here is Thundercracker.”
The blue
seeker nodded, but Indigo looked intrigued.
“Th … th
…”
“Just
call him TC.” Skywarp told him.
Indigo
jumped off Starscream’s lap and walked across the cushions to Thundercracker.
The blue seeker smiled at him as he approached, but was wondering why he was so
intrigued by him.
“You’re blue.”
Indigo said, as he stood right next to the unnerved seeker.
“Er, yeah
I am …” Thundercracker hesitated, looking at Starscream. He nodded, and TC
hesitantly picked up Indigo, who looked happy to be held by this seeker.
“What’s so good about my colour?”
Indigo
grinned happily. “I like blue! It’s a very pretty colour.”
Thundercracker
blushed. He had never been told that his colouring was beautiful before. He was
suddenly robbed of anything to say, so he simply smiled and placed the little
seeker in his lap like Starscream had.
“Well
guys,” Starscream looked over at the other seekers. “Introduce yourselves!”
“I’m
Ramjet.” Said the white seeker. He was looking at TC in amusement because he
was still looking rather bashful about his comment.
“And I’m
Thrust.” Said the other conehead. Indigo found his colours to be not as nice
looking as the vividness of the red on his ‘mum’. He smiled at them both, but
his attention was drawn to the other blue seeker.
“Who are
you?” he called out.
The said
seeker turned, and said, “Dirge.”
Indigo
inclined his head, and Dirge’s jaw dropped slightly. He was very cute, and
seeming to be very innocent as well. He felt a small smile on his face and got
up to walk around the chair. Indigo followed his movement as Dirge came around
and crouched in front of TC and Indigo.
The
little seeker looked at him with curiosity, and Dirge grinned at him. “You’re
something special, you know.”
Indigo
grinned brightly at him, and he smiled back.
“Heh,
heh, never saw you as the fatherly type, Dirge.” Skywarp snickered.
Instantly,
Dirge reverted back to his gloomy self. He stood up and then walked back over
to his chair, and proceeded to continue reading his data pad.
Indigo
watched him. He was a duller shade of blue, but Indigo still liked it, but not
as much as this Thundercracker. He utterly loved his colour scheme. It
was beautiful! Almost as pretty as Starscream’s own. The other seeker, Skywarp,
also was nice looking, but Indigo liked TC more. He quickly stood up and then
snuggled up to TC, much to the seeker’s surprise.
“I think
Indigo’s got fond of you, TC.” Skywarp jeered, but came over himself to sit by
his friend. Starscream also did, and the other two seekers merely looked on.
“Well, it
was nice meeting you Indigo!” They said, and Indigo smiled and nodded at them.
They went off to do their own business, leaving the other seekers to tend to
the baby.
“Well …
the heir to the Decepticons eh?” Skywarp said as he sat down with his arms
resting on the chair; Starscream did the same and looked at him.
“Yes, and
the Constructicons ran a test over him. They said he could well be the
strongest leader the Decepticons could ever have.” The red seeker informed him,
and looked up at Indigo, whom was looking up at TC with an adoring look on his
face.
“What’s
the matter?” TC was highly unnerved. He had never even been near a baby in his
life, and to have one look so admiringly up at him was a little disturbing …
but adorable as well.
“I like
you …” Indigo said, and curled up in TC’s lap, and quickly falling asleep. TC
looked down at him, and then placed a hand over his body like a blanket. Indigo
shifted in his sleep and sighed in contentment. Thundercracker smiled, stroking
his back as the other two seekers watched. Starscream got up and sat next to
Thundercracker, looking over him.
“Gosh
Screamer …” He said softly. “When I heard you were having a kid, I never
dreamed he would be so adorable!”
***
Indigo
wasn’t very happy about leaving Thundercracker’s lap when it came recharge
time.
“Aww …”
He was very sad about it. “I liked TC …”
“You can
spend the whole day with him tomorrow if you like.” Starscream promised. Indigo
immediately was happy about the prospect of a whole day with the blue seeker,
and gave Thundercracker a hug before he left to go to sleep.
Starscream
snickered at the little seeker in his arms. “You really like Thundercracker
don’t you?”
“He’s
beautiful,” Indigo sighed. “Almost as much as you mum!”
Starscream
grinned arrogantly at that.
“I’m
going to leave you in my quarters for a while-“ The red seeker started, but
Indigo made a whine of protest.
“But I
wanna see dad too!” He looked up at the seeker with pleading optics. “Can I
come? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?!”
Starscream
looked skyward and said, “Only if you behave yourself.”
There was
a hint of warning in his voice. Indigo noticed, and knew that even though dad
was dad; he was still very dangerous and cold. He had watched some movies when
Starscream was asleep, the more violent ones, and he saw what Megatron did to
both his troops and the Autobots, and it made him very aware of what the Decepticon
leader could do. Luckily, he had not come across any that involved Starscream
and Megatron brawling, as there was one or two around.
They
headed for the control room, as Starscream was going to inform Megatron of how
all the meetings went. The Decepticon leader had left Starscream in charge of
it since he needed to do some work. But now, Starscream entered to find his
leader sitting in front of a terminal, looking annoyed.
"Megatron?"
The seeker questioned, unsure whether he wanted to approach him in his present
state or not.
The
leader turned. "Go and get some recharge, Starscream. You need it. Leave
Indigo here if you want."
The
seeker nodded, and placed Indigo down. The little seeker looked up at the red
one, but Starscream merely smiled and nodded his head towards Megatron. He then
left.
Indigo
felt a little nervous. Whenever he had been near Megatron, Starscream had also
been there too. It felt different to be on his own this time.
While the
Decepticon leader worked, Indigo surveyed the room with wide optics. It was
very big, with terminals everywhere, and some other gadgets that he didn't know
the name of. Instead, he ran over to where Megatron was working, still annoyed
about something.
Megatron
looked down to see Indigo staring up at him, as if wanting something.
"Not
now Indigo," He said sternly. "I'm busy."
Sadly,
the little seeker nodded and sat on the ground beside his father's huge chair.
Megatron noticed, and looked down at him once, but shook his head and continued
working. But his thoughts were clouded by his child, and he looked down at him
again. Indigo was sitting silently, looking at his feet, and even the
Decepticon could tell he was sad. Megatron sighed, and leaned over, picking up
the little seeker with one hand. Indigo was surprised, but did not protest as
he was picked up, and placed upon Megatron's huge thigh. Indigo looked up in
curiosity, and Megatron looked down with an annoyed grin.
"Primus
damn you! I can't resist you ... you pain ..."
Indigo
giggled, knowing that his dad was only annoyed for the sake of it. He stood up
and then went over to curl up just next to his lower arm, and proceeded to slip
into a light dose, absently stroking Megatron's stomach area. Megatron looked
down at him with a sigh. He didn't think he would ever get used to the kid's
affections. He hastily placed his hand over Indigo's body, stopping the
stroking with his thumb.
***
Later on,
much much later, Megatron was walking back to his quarters with a certain
little creature in the crook of his right arm. He made his way there, careful
not to wake him up.
He got to
his quarters and unlocked it, slipping inside with a yawn. He hastily looked
down at Indigo, making sure he was sleeping soundly still. He was, so Megatron
went over to his recharge berth and lay down on it. He placed Indigo down next
to him, and noted at how much he looked like himself, despite the fact he was a
seeker. He smiled, and rolled over on his stomach, wrapping his arm around
Indigo's body and slipping into recharge.
***
The next
morning, Starscream woke up with a jolt. He noticed Indigo's absence straight
away. He jumped off his recharge berth and ran out the door, sprinting towards
Megatron's quarters as fast as he could. Luckily, no one was up as early as he
was at the moment, and he reached his desired destination in record timing.
He
pounded in the code and rushed inside, to be greeted with a very reliving site.
Megatron
was snoring lightly, his arm around a certain little seeker, who was quiet.
Starscream
smiled, relieved and also surprised. He walked softly over to the berth and sat
down, looking over the two. Indigo looked peaceful enough, and Megatron ....
THERE was
a new one. He looked so calm when he slept .... It was very attractive for the
seeker to see him this way. He almost didn't look as though he wanted to punch
the nearest object in annoyance of something or other; it was one of those rare
moments that get locked away in your memory forever.
Megatron
gave a snort, and woke up. He caught site of the seeker watching him with a
small grin and he sat up, careful not to wake Indigo.
“What are
you doing in here?” He asked, none too politely.
Starscream
found he could not answer him, for it would show a weakness to his leader, so
instead he stared at his feet.
Megatron
looked at him, then down at Indigo still sleeping soundly, and put the two
together with a sly grin.
“You’re
here for Indigo aren’t you?” He asked with a smirk.
Starscream
looked up, and nodded. “I was worried.”
Megatron
smiled. “You do too much.” He looked down at Indigo again, and carefully picked
him up and placed him on his lap. “Do you really think I’d let something bad
happen to him, since I was the one that wanted him in the first place?”
There was
a bite of protective anger in his voice. Instead of making Starscream twitch in
fear, he grinned.
“Of
course not.” The seeker said, then leaned over and nuzzled his head under his
leader’s chin. Normally, Megatron wouldn’t tolerate such an act of affection,
but Starscream did something totally irresistible to him that made him so
docile he hated it.
Starscream
started purring.
It was
nothing like a cat, but deep and beautiful and mechanical. Starscream was one
of the very few with the ability, as it came souly from a seeker’s motor
mechanisms, like as if it were on standby by still running. It made controlling
it very hard, but Starscream had mastered it so that it was in time with his
breathing, sounding like a mechanical panther akin to Ravage.
Megatron
froze as he felt the tiny vibrations run down from where Starscream has his
head nestled under his chin and felt himself relax completely, as he knew he
would. The seeker continued to nuzzle his chin and Megatron reluctantly retuned
the favour. They sat like that for a while, just being in one another’s
presence, the silence broken only by the constant purr from the seeker and the
slow breathing of Indigo from Megatron’s lap.
Soon
enough, they broke away as Indigo started waking up. He noticed that his mum
was there straight away, and smiled sleepily.
“I stayed
with dad last night.” He murmured, as though he needed to explain himself. He
gave a yawn and then Starscream picked him up.
“I know,
I know,” The seeker said, giving him a grin. “Ready to spend the day with
Thundercracker?”
The
little seeker’s smile instantly brightened. “Definitely!”
Standing,
Starscream gave Megatron a smile and left. He got the silent warning glare that
Megatron sent his way, being protective as was expected.
Look
after him.
***
Starscream
stepped out into the dock and saw Thundercracker and Skywarp waiting for him.
Indigo called over to them in delight, and Starscream carefully handed him over
to the blue seeker.
“Be
careful.” He said in a warning voice, then turned to Indigo.
“You be
careful okay?” He told Indigo.
“I will
mum!” The little seeker said joyfully.
With
that, Thundercracker and Skywarp left to go for a day of flying. Starscream
watched them leave, hoping Indigo would be alright.
***
Starscream
entered Megatron’s quarters to find him waiting for him. He was smirking.
“With
Indigo here I better make this fast.” He growled seductively.
Starscream
was taken aback by his tone. “Megatron …?”
The
Decepticon leader walked up to him, grabbed his arms and hurled him on the
recharge bed, jumping on him and pinning him down.
“No time
for foreplay!” He growled and kissed the surprised seeker.
***
Later on,
Indigo came home. He had had a blast with his two other wingmates, and he
wished he could spend more time with them. As they left him at Starscream’s
quarters, Thundercracker got very embarrassed when Indigo gave him a tiny kiss
on the cheek as a way of saying goodbye. Skywarp thought this was very cute,
and then they left him be.
As Indigo
entered his parent’s quarters, he found Starscream on his bed, fast asleep. He
smiled; his mum must’ve had a busy day. Although he had no clue what he was
‘busy’ with, he contently jumped on the bed and snugged into Starscream’s arms.
The adult
seeker made a noise, and then slowly woke up. He smiled gently, and then
yawned.
“Hello
Indigo,” He murmured, “How was it with Thundercracker and Skywarp?”
“It was
so much fun!” Indigo said, his optics lighting up his whole face in delight.
“Thundercracker … oh my … I really love him mum!”
Starscream
chuckled, closing his optics, “That’s nice …”
Indigo
became concerned, “Are you okay mum? You look very tired.”
“Oh just
hard work today is all …” He said, not giving away that Megatron had ravaged
him the entire day ‘to make up for lost time’ as he so delightfully put it. It
was not going to be often they got time alone.
“Two
weeks …” Indigo murmured, curling up under Starscream’s chin.
“Hmm?”
Starscream said, preparing to enter recharge again. “’Till what son?”
“Until I
am half grown …” Indigo said, his voice muffled because his head was buried in
the nape of Starscream’s neck.
“Ooh …”
They fell
into recharge very soon afterwards.
***
Soon
enough, the two weeks had passed, and Indigo was suddenly half the height of
Starscream. The little seeker was showing remarkable traits towards both
parents, and had begun his training. At first, he had just read up on it as he
had done a month before, but now he put it into practice. He was an extremely
fast learner, and grasped new concepts with extreme ease. He was magic in the
skies, and love flying very much. He was delighted when Thundercracker took him
out for a flying lesson one time, with Starscream along side him. Things were
definitely up in the Decepticon base mood wise. And they were still conducting
raids, which Indigo would watch over the monitor. Scavenger usually looked
after him when both Starscream and Megatron were gone, and it was lucky that
the seeker came back unscathed on most occasions …
