Hello!   Here it is Sunday already.  Things are better for me.  I forced myself to get going and workout and I feel so much better for doing so.  Sometimes you just have to do that to get past a slump.

Tomorrow I will be measuring again and probably taking some new photos if I can find the cord to my digital!  LOL!

Hello everyone!  I finally got my hiney in gear and took my December update photos. Go check in out!  My body shape is really beginning to change!  You can see a bit of muscle definition in my shoulders and on my thigh right below where my hand is.   And slmost to the back of my knee!  Yipee!

I was feeling disappointed when I first took the pictures and just was looking at them on the digital camera.  I was thinking, Gee Whiz I STILL jave a big ol fat gut!   Will it ever go down?  But then when I actually got the pics up and compared to the others from October and November, I could see that I have lost weight. I have to remind myself that weighing 200 pounds and only being 5'4" and I have a tiny bone structure, is pretty darn fat.  BUT, I am doing something about it.  I did not put 70 pounds of fat on in a month or two.  If you all recall, I started gaining back in 1994 and put on around 10 to 15 pounds each year so it was sneaky.  Of course I want to do the I Dream of Jeannie thing and wiggle my nose and be a size 6 right now!   Of course that is what I wish!  LOL! 

So what am I doing this week?  I decided to really up my cardio to burn more fat.   I am walking 1 1/2 hour on the treadmill.  I do 45 minutes in the morning before my weight training and then I do 45 minutes in the afternoon. I had found a CD of music that was prefect and was going along with it just great.  Then today, while I was on the treadmill, I started hearing this clicking sound coming from the treadmill.   I am pretty sure something is messed up with it so I am going to have to do the Richard Simmons Disco Sweat this afternoon.  :-)  With Christmas coming up so soon, I will have to wait until after the holidays to get my treadmill looked at.   Bummer!

If you haven't gone to the Joyce Vedral web site to check out her weight training program, I urge you to.  This is what is reshaping my body.  It works!  I am still doing the Fast Forward tapes but this week I have added the Bathing Suit Workout from the book to my weight training routine.    Joyce sent an email telling how to get more training in for the lower body.   You do Cycle 1 and 2 of FF on one day. The next day you do the Cycle 3 with extra abs and then the next day you do the Bathing Suit Workout and then you go back to FF Cycle 1 and 2 again. 

So to all of you who are keeping up with my story and are on your own fitness journies, keep up the good work and stick with it.  You will see results. It can be a little overwhelming when you first get on the scale and think gee whiz, I have 50, 100, 200 pounds to lose!  I have been breaking it down into 10 pound increments.  That is much easier for me to think about!

Hello!   I hope everyone is having a great weekend.  I am having a pretty good one.

For the past 3 or 4 days I have had a sore throat and another cold.  This is my second cold in less than a month!  Yuck!  I am hardly ever sick!

I didn't exercise the past 2 days or today.  I did my regular workout on the 7th when I felt sick and it made me so hot and nauseated.  I figured it would just be best to rest for a few days.

Tomorrow I will begin journaling all the food I eat.  I haven't done it for awhile and I am slipping.  I am also not drinking enough water. Maybe 2 or 3 glasses a day when I should be having 6 to 8 glasses a day.  I would like to reach my goal weight of 135 by April 1, 2001 and be wearing a size 6.
