Favorite X-Files episode: a tie: Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space' and Triangle

I'm a journalist, videographer for a wedding chapel, and a fan of Mitch Pileggi, David Duchovny and The X-Files. I became an X-Phile the moment I watched the show's pilot episode and realized I watching a show that was vastly different -- and 10 times better -- than any other series on television. What are the odds of finding a TV series about two FBI agents investigating the paranormal that's not only intelligently written but also entertaining, dark and spooky? I'd say that's an X-File. ;)

The people I have met through this list are absolutely wonderful, and we're having a great time. I want to thank Tesa from the bottom of my heart for taking over as director and stepping right into the job, making the transition as smooth as possible. I look forward to many more memories with my Skinnerholics pals. Besides The X-Files and Mitch, my obsessions include NASCAR, classic rock, and Star Trek. And NASCAR. ;-)

My name is Ishie.... (hi Ishie), and I'm... I'm a Skinnerholic. It all started with Paper Clip and then it escalated... I found myself seeking other Skinner 'fans' as we called ourselves at the time. Soon I was watching Skinner alone, seeking Skinner fanfiction, joining Skinner mailing lists! *sobs* It's so good to meet others who share this misunderstood pain.

Ok, I am from Brasil. I watch X-files since the first episode, but I began to love it when I saw Ice. I love Pusher and the Anasazi trilogy. I love Fanfiction, specially MulderTorture. I think Skinner is the sexiest man in TV, and I managed to push a lot of friends to think in the same way :)

I'm a total monomaniac where Skinner is concerned: I love his strength and gentleness, his courage and sensitivity, his quiet dignity, his decency, his honour. I love the way he has no idea how gorgeous he is. I love his seriousness, but I know he has a sense of humour too, along with a heart of gold... see I can go on all day like this! As for me: I'm a librarian, I like cats and baroque music and I adore Walter!

I'm a true Skinner fan even though my favorite episode isn't a Skinnercentric one. :-) I worship the surly pectoral god and his holy BVDs! I love Mitch Pileggi and keep hoping he'll eventually get more non-XF work that's up to his potential. I've been an X-Files fan since early in the first season, and I generally like all different kinds of episodes, but my favorites are the MOTW. I run the Office of the Assistant Director website, which has been online since 1995.

Hi everyone!! SOO glad to see another Skinner page go up (especially since Fox has decided to take their's down). Love Skinner and truly believe the BVD scene in Zero Sum was as close to a religious experience as I've ever had. Proud to say I'm a Joisey Girl (born, breed and probably will be buried here). Happily married to a bald(!)man (grass doesn't grow on a busy highway!!) and have an adorable 5-year-old son.

I know I am forgetting.

Hi everyone! I'm a die hard X-phile who refuses to give up on the show. I never miss a new ep, and badly wish I had cable again so I could see the fX reruns. I fell for Mitch Pileggi March 7th, 1998, when I met him at the San Francisco X-Files Expo. He is the nicest man on the face of the earth, in my humble opinion, and pleasing to the eye as well!

Skinner intrigues me and attracts me in equal measure. I believe he has a desperate and precarious balance between the higher-ups and the higher good, between law and justice, and ultimately is a friend to Mulder and Scully. Mitch Pileggi plays Skinner so well that I always know there are more layers to who Skinner is than the too-few lines he has reveal to us. And, not to put too fine a point on this, he's really incredibly sexy. Very EF. So, are we all writing to 1013 and FOX asking for more Skinner? I have the address if you need it. I'm 33 and have been enraptured by the X-Files since the pilot aired. I travel, cook, read (currently reading 'Hannibal' by T.Harris) hike, camp and fish. I have nine cats and a..hmmm..guy-who-has-lived-with-me-for-five-years-that-I'm-not-married-to. I think Walter Skinner is the finest of the fine, just don't tell g.w.h.l.w.m.f.f.y.t.I.n.m.t. (There must be an easier way to say that.)I love almost all of the fanfic out there and would rot away at the monitor if I didn't need to work, feed the cats and go to Starbucks.

Favorite X-Files episode: One Breath

I didn't watch the X-Files for the first five years. Then, one day I watched a rerun on Fox Saturday night. The show was titled "One Breath" and when I saw Skinner walk into Mulder's office to refuse to accept his resignation, I was hooked...BIG time. You see, Skinner was back lit in this scene and you could see through that crisp white shirt and truly appreciate the man who is Skinner. I knew right then and there that I was a true and loyal fan. There is not nearly enough Skinner on the show (esp season 6). I am an avid reader of fanfic (all combos and genres. I have tried desparately to catch up on all the old episodes, but I am still woefully short. The Scully cancer arc is a little hard for me to deal with, hits a bit too close to home, but I thought that the beginning of Memento Mori was beautiful. Anyway, that's me.

Favorite X-Files episode: Bad Blood, Zero Sum, ideally *anything* funny & with Skinner

Got started on the X-files mid-season 5 when I found that GoldMine Software Corp. refers to our company (a group of computer technicians) as "The Lone Gunmen". Me: Huh? GoldMine: Just watch. It's SO you. So, through the miracle of fX on cable, we're all caught up and having lively mythology discussions almost daily. The fanfic drew my attention to Skinner, & I haven't been able to get my eyes or mind off him since. I've been looking to the mighty-fine Skinner for inspiration -- as a tough-but-fair boss, keeper of confidences, disciplined pusher of paper (and agents), skilled field agent -- even to the degree that I bought a Bowflex with the idea that more muscle would be helpful in dealing with *my* errant subordinates too! I'll watch/attend/rent/listen to absolutely anything featuring Mitch Pileggi. What a talent!

I'm a stay at home mom of 3 (with a 4th on the way) sweet children. My husband is okay with my MP adoration, as long as I don't make it obvious. Hence, we don't watch TXF too much together anymore. *eg* Actually, I'm very lucky. My hubby is a sweetie, and I think he's forgotten about my "thing" for Mitch. I've been hopelessly addicted to TXF since season 2. The only other show that I obsess over at all is Twin Peaks, and that's been off the air since '92!

Favorite X-Files episode: I love any of the eps that Walter has been in, but I especially like the Consortium/Colonization eps. (the one with Skinner in them, of course)

I'm addicted to any and all Skinner fanfic. I've just counted 108 bookmarked websites that are related to my obsession with Walter Skinner. I read Walterfic everyday, and if I don't read at least one new story a day I feel very hmm....unsettled. What attracts me to the character of Walter Skinner? I'd have to say that his honor and control plus his very obvious physical attributes are the main buttons that are pushed for me! Walter's shoulders in those starched white shirts...that does it for me everytime!

I am a Skinnerholic...there, i've said it out loud. I don't want to be cured!! I have written many(some on line and many more never to see the light of day) fanfic stories starring my favorite AD, most of them (who am I kidding...ALL of them!) on the erotica side!!! I love the stern , gruff exterior, beneath which, I think, beats a kind heart...one that would melt for just the right woman. However, since he is fiction and I am real, I must therefore create characters to live my fantasies through....ooops, medication time! Back to my padded cell!!!

I find that Skinner!holism is a progressive disease...for me it began with "One Breath" when the AD admitted that he had "inhaled"...Mr. "By-the-Book" had a "past"!...and has been steadily downhill from there--from X-Phile to 'Shipper to Skinnerholic--from watching to videotaping to the internet--a year ago I went online and discovered Skinnerholics Anonymous. It was a relief to find a safe place to confess my addiction and delightful to realize that my "recovery" could be postponed indefinitely!
Now I am devoted to all things Pileggian and find that while this addiction consumes large amounts of time that there are positive aspects to it as well:
o the opportunity to check into the SkinnerNeighborhood daily with other Skinner!dependent folks who are incredibly friendly, supportive, witty, creative and thoughtful.
o fanfiction! Not only have I *read* more, I've begun to *write*! (and I've learned *many* new words and concepts!)
o I have *so* much more appreciation for truthyboy, my 6'1" best friend, playmate and husband of 30-some years who gives me a surly look through his wirerims and mutters "I'm not bald!" (I can wait!)

Favorite X-Files episode: SR819, Paper Hearts, Zero Sum, One Breath (that basement scene! Those dark eyes!), all the Anasazi eps (can we just say - corridor scene! That yummy necklock Skinner has on Mulder. Sigh...lucky Mulder to be encased in those crisp-white-shirt clad arms and held against that gorgeous chest!)

I've been online exactly three years. As soon as I found fanfic (an amazing phenomenon!) I knew I had to find *Skinner* fic. Then, almost immediately, I knew I had to start writing it - and I haven't stopped since. I noticed Skinner in the X Files for years but really fell in love with the man in "Redux". Poor Skinner - he always tries to help Mulder and Scully and they never thank him and that ep summed it all up. Dirty? PAH! NOOOOO! Not Skinner! I write Mulder and Scully as *very* grateful indeed... Most of all I love his shoulders. And his shirts. And that lovely bald head. And those dark, expressive eyes. And that very nice bottom... As for me - I love cats and live in London and that's all there is to say!

Of course, Skinner is my favorite character, but it's not a sexual thing. Actually, it's kind of sad about the series--it lost direction after the sixth season. The whole reason for Mulder's obsession with the paranormal--the abduction of his sister--is "resolved" very cheaply in an episode meant to evoke memories of themes from earlier seasons; by this time, the impetus of the "consiracy" had already been lost, and the episode itself doesn't answer any questions, but simply suggests that Mulder had been a fool to think that his sister might still be alive. And, of course, there was that string of ridiculous episodes that began in season seven that left me wondering, "What were they thinking?"

I don't understand what Carter means when he says he's ending the series while it's still doing well. If "The X-Files" had gone off the air three seasons ago, it would truly have become a cult legend. How unfortunate.
