NFL Team vs NFL Team 2
by Spaen - Friday, January 13
Straight out of a heavyweight boxing commercial, it's rematch weekend in the NFL.  Let's face it, the NFL sucked last weekend in one of the worst Wild Card weekends ever, and they need any kind of promotion they can get.  Even if it does have to result from boxing lines.

However, you can already tell by the matchups that we should be in for a treat.  The big bad defense, as well as serious momentum, propels the 'Skins to the college-atmosphere Seattle.  The been-there-done-that Pats take on the no-John-Elway-no-dice Denver Broncos.  Pittsburgh will try to win one of those rare postseason road victories two times in a row over questionable Indy.  Carolina has more momentum than Washington, and will need every bit of it as they take on a tough defense in Chicago.  With that being said...it's time to get your game face on.
Washington @ Seattle
11-6   Sat 3:30pm FOX   13-3
Give credit to Gregg Williams.  As coach of the Bills, he really did have a tremendous defense.  Now as the new defensive coordinator for the Redskins this year, he certainly hasn't disappointed.  With they exception to the ugly loss at East Rutherford this season, there is pontential to see this game as a disaster like that one.  Seattle is known to have one of the loudest and best college-type atmospheres in the entire league.  A team that only gains 150 yards of total offense ain't going to win against a team that you already know you'll give up over 300-400 yards to.

Washington: Needs to actually consider using Santana Moss in this one.
Seattle: Make this the most shortest football game possible, and give the ball to Shaun every down.

First match: Redskins 20, Seahawks 17 (OT)
This match:
Seahawks 24, Redskins 16
New England @ Denver
11-6   Sat 7:00pm CBS   13-3
A very, VERY intersesting ball game.  Jake Plummer is obviously being bashed by the media again for always being a letdown.  Seriously, he's in the playoffs, you've been talking about it all regular season long...it's time to stop.  He's thrown only 7 interceptions all season.  Some people I've witnessed have thrown that many in a game.  Some college football I've seen that happen was before halftime.  The one thing Plummer does not have over Tom Brady is obviously that playoff feel.  He's been in tough predicaments before (last year at Indy), but he's always been able to come in a clutch.  This could very well be Brady's biggest challenge yet, mainly because the running game for the Pats is very weak at the moment.

New England: Get a hot start on the running game, and work your way from there.
Denver: Jake needs to be as efficient as he was in the regular season.

First match: Denver 28, New England 20
This match:
Denver 34-24
Pittsburgh @ Indianapolis
12-5   Sun 12:00pm CBS 14-2
After a sluggish first half against backup QB John Kitna, the Bengals actually had the lead at half.  However, as the Steelers typically do, they made the right adjustments at half and just immediately shuts down.  The big factor here is that if Indianapolis comes out in mid-season form, there will simply be no way for Pitt to win this one.

Pittsburgh: Need complete balance of offense and defense.  Ben needs to throw the long one frequently.
Indianapolis: Need to play like it's Week 7.

First match: Colts 26, Steelers 7
This match:
Colts 28-10
Because I'm tired, Carolina over Chicago 10-3.
