Man, what would be a better name for the new NCAA Tournament? How's this?
MARCH MADNESS!!!!
That's right, the moment we've all been waiting for! (At least I have) The Big Dance. The NCAA Tournament. The funnest time of the year! (That's my own nickname for it)
Wow, the frenetic event is upon us. Will we not pay much attention to it and just follow it in the newspapers? Heck no. We will all collectively, as a group, sit on our buttocks for as long as we can, watching nothing but the sport of basketball.
We'll watch closely as the underdogs pull off the Cinderella story, and shed a tear for some of the great players who's college careers will come to a close. '
It's an emotional rollercoaster that can only be capped off by the crowning of a champion.
"The ball is tipped, and there you are. You're running for your life. You're a shooting star..."
And we will all sit glued to our TVs and listen to the voice of Luther Vandross. A capping and definitive moment in each and every college basketball season. The recognizing of the true meaning of the game. The hard work and effort put in to have a magical season. The joyful victories. The heartbreaking defeats. All of it comes and goes, almost too quickly. But someone will always have their One Shining Moment!
