Gregg Doyel = Smartest Man Alive
by Skinner - Wednesday, January 11
Today after receiving some input from a friend, I stumbled upon a website.  A website that is home to the smartest man alive.  That man goes by the name of Gregg Doyel (that website is here).  I'll give a few examples of why said genius should be everyone's god.

Quotes from the Man Himself

"3.  Oklahoma: The Sooners return four starters from a 25-8 team, and add two transfers (Nate Carter from UC Riverside, and Michael Neal from junior college) who could have started last year.  And, at the two most important positions, the Sooners have the country's best 1-2 punch in center Taj Gray and point guard Terrell Everett."

"Oklahoma is underachieving."

"9.  Texas Tech: Every season brings another sweet surprise from Texas Tech under Bob Knight.  Last year it was a spot in the Sweet 16.  This year, with three starters back and his best recruiting class in Lubbock, Knight might just find a way to top that."

"But it turns out that Texas Tech is bad -- three decades of bad karma catching up to Bob Knight."

"16.  Oklahoma State: Yes, the Cowboys will be inexperienced, and yes, the Big 12 will be brutal.  But if you don't like the combination of Eddie Sutton and all that new talent, you're a bigger grouch than he pretends to be."

"Oklahoma State is inexperienced, and not getting better with age."

"1.  Big 12: From Final Four contenders at the top (Texas, Oklahoma) to Top 25 teams in the middle (Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Kansas) to potential NCAA Tournament sleepers down the ladder (Iowa State, Nebraska, Texas A&M), the Big 12 is the strongest league this year."

"The Big 12 needs Iowa State to become an NCAA Tournament team, because right now this is a league with only one NCAA lock."

"Iowa State has great guards in Stinson and Blalock, and a horde of capable wings led by sophomores Rahshon Clark and Tasheed Carr."

"The Cyclones shot five air balls.  They threw balls off the top of the backboard.  They tried spinning reverses that missed by 4 feet.  Rahshon Clark hit four 3-pointers, but two of them went off the glass.  And he didn't call either one."

Clearly the smartest person ever.

Now kids, let's all take a test on what we learned today!  Let's see, why don't we do some of everybody's favorites: analogies.

A 13 year old girl loving her boyfriend : Hating him when he dumps her :: Gregg Doyel talking up the Big 12 : _______________________________________

Anyone know the answer?  Yes, you in the back.

"Gregg Doyel hating the Big 12 when he realizes his "expert" opinions didn't turn out as planned."

Correct!  (Who would've thought that someone could be wrong on a prediction?)

Keeping with the school theme I am going to give the credit of who really wrote this article to the rightful owner:
