A promising start to this season had my Cyclone fans hoping for a strong conference start. This came... in the first half of their game versus Kansas. I will try not to go completely negative and at least say the Cyclones showed some great potential. This team reminds me of the 2004 squad that ended up winning the Independence Bowl. If any of you Cyclone fans are having trouble remembering that season just recall that this was the year they lost to Missouri to lose the Big XII title. Plunge that in your heart and hope for tomorrow!

What sad seasons for both Iowa and Iowa State respectively... ah screw grammar, not respectively!  Todd Lickliter and Greg McDermott appear to be coaching senior citizens or at least that is what I assume based on the pace both teams play at.  Let's pay respect to the great Red Auerbach: "Coaching is one word: communication."  Not CONTROL!  Can we please play basketball again at Iowa State?
