Mannerism
     Mannerism is an art movement that lasted from 1520 to 1600 and it took place in Europe.  Characteristics of the movement include bending and twisting, distortations, exagerations, elongation of limbs, bizarre postureing of a hand, a graceful posturing of the other hand, small and oval heads, and clashing colors.  Representative artists of the movement include Anrea del Sart, Jacopo de Pontormo, and Correggio.
