Cubism
In Paris in 1907, Cubism began led by Pablo Picasso and Geoges Braque.  These artists rejected the single viewpoint, and instead used an analytical system in which the three-dimensional objects were fragmented and redefined from several different viewpoints simultaniously.  The movement was influenced by African Art, and new theories on the nature of reality such as Einstein's Theory of Relativity.  Other major artists of the movement include Robert Delaunay and Marcel Duchamp.
