| I'm sure you're all curious about why I'd even create a web page. Well, for one thing, I have a lot of time on my hands. Second, I thought it'd be a good way of keeping friends and family up to date on stuff. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Some of you may not be surprised to hear that one of my favorite things to do is wakeboarding. Thanks to Freeman, I have had an intense interest (or obsession?) since the first day I got up on it. Might I suggest Hyperlite, O'Brien, or Liquid Force for your wakeboarding gear, and WakeWorld for all of your wakeboarding FAQs? :) It shouldn't be a surprise to know that I'm also a Survivor Junkie! What can I say? I'm addicted to the reality show that Outwits, Outplays, and Outlasts. I do like to travel, though I'm a bit picky about the destination. I hope to have some digital pics of my military ports of call but for now I can only offer you some I've taken with my handy camera. I'm not a pro by any means. Keep that in mind and we'll do just fine. :) Enough said....On to the show... I'm also a bit of a computer nerd. I put mine together and it still works! I learned a lot through friends & relatives, as well as going to websites, like Afterdawn and Smart Computing. Let's see...I guess you could say that I walk to the beat of a different drummer. My favorite band has to be Linkin Park. (I wouldn't suggest clicking on that link unless you've got your volume turned down or mute and you can tolerate a more...well, louder sound. lol) |

| Describe my friends and family? I think I'll plead the 5th on this one! LOL J/K! It should go without saying that I think the world of my nephew, Devin and his soon-to-be baby sister, Reese. I love to spend as much time as I can with Devin, even if he calls me a "Christmas Tree Light Head". :) My family is a good one. We don't agree on much, but they hear you out before they say no. LOL I'm grateful that my sister and her husband, Rick, have always included me in their "family" days. Even when they've wanted time to themselves, they have allowed me to tag along on some of their adventures. And believe me, a bike ride outing is always an adventure with the Bartletts! And boy, do they know how to pack a picnic lunch! Mmmm good! As for Mom and Dad, well, they're certainly meant to be together! :) They've always allowed me to make my own mistakes - and believe me, there have been, and will be, many. Of course, they're still hoping I'll learn from them. lol I can't think of a time where they weren't there for me. They're not perfect but they've done a hell of a job! For two people that claim to be retired, though, they sure do work a lot! It's almost as if they like to work! I personally can't imagine being with the same person for over 40 years! (They celebrate their 41st wedding anniversary on June 20th.) Their relationship is the kind you'd love to emulate, if you had a clue how they do it! Recently I've really gotten to know my cousin, Terri and her family (Jack, Sam, Austin, and Makena -sp.). That sounds weird, I know. I just mean that I was fortunate enough to have spent a lot of time with them, especially up at the Lake. They're great most of the time. Unless, of course, you're hiking up Mt. Cathedral, and then it can be a different story. LMAO Just kidding. Don't I still owe Sam and Austin $1 each? lol As for my friends, they're awesome. We, too, didn't always see eye to eye, but somehow we stuck it through. You know who you are. Maybe someday we might actually get to live in the same state! :) We partied hard, that's for sure. But reality has set in. It's time to get our @%*# together. Maybe we can meet at the Desert Club? LMAO Whether they're friends from high school, shipmates, or former co-workers, they've all had their influences on me. I met some when I was a boot camp in boot camp, while I was a Bandit, while I was an AO at NASCC, a squid onboard the Gold Eagle, at a newspaper, and even in a hallway (<<<<<you know who you are). See you at Chevy's with a top shelf margarita on the rocks, with NO salt? :) |
