11/28/00 - Beta Patch

I realize this news is a few days old; but, as I've said, I don't have time to run a proper fan page.

Bioware released a beta patch. You can find more information about it at the link, as well as several sites to download it from. I was going to upload it to my site, but it's 8.73MB. With a 56k connection that takes a bit of time; as I would have to download, it then upload it.

11/23/00 - Happy Thanksgiving

I have a tendency to be short and to the point, so just refer to the header for today.

11/18/00 - BG2 Extras FYI

I was looking around today, and ran into a site that claims to have the BG2 extras for download legally. The site is Baldur's Gate Dungeon. You can find the download on their file page. Here's a clip of text about the files.

Bioware has allowed us to post the files that are necessary to add the bonus merchants to your game. We cannot however post the install program since it is written program and naturally has copyright restrictions, but apparently all you need is the two files you can get here. Bioware has really been cool through this whole thing and I guess I should speak highly of both Derek and Nathan at Bioware.

Since the installer is not included, you have to put the files in the override directory. It, also, means you won't have the extra shortcuts added. The zip file is extremely small (2k). They have the instructions on their page.

11/17/00 - Links Page

I found a mistake I made on my links page. One of the links was linking to the links of the page I wanted it to link to. I figure it's been like that for quite awhile, and I'm not sure why I never caught it. Anyways, it's fixed now.

11/16/00 - Message Board Buttons

I added a post and search button on the message board. Which really wasn't needed, but they 'jump out' more than the text does.

11/08/00 - The Message Board

I just wanted to note that if you have questions regarding BG2, or RPGs in general, you can use the message board. This includes any questions (like if you need to know the exact location of an item) or comments you may have.

The FAQ button now links to an HTML version of the readme. I realize the links aren't all that important with how short the document is, but what better way to learn something new than to do it?

11/06/00 - Please View the Readme File

Some people were having some trouble unzipping and installing the 'extras'. At first I was replying and giving them directions, but many are asking the same questions. So I had this bright idea - a readme file. This way, I should only need to type out some fairly detailed instructions once. Plus, it would allow me to provide answers to a couple of the more asked questions. So, I know have a readme file. It can also be found on the files page. It may even end up on the FAQ page when I get around to making one.

11/05/00 - New Pic

Someone hadn't seen the pic from CGW for the game Team Torment is currently working on. So I scanned and uploaded it to my site. It isn't the best of quality, and it's actually blown up a bit. You can find the picture here.

I archived some of the news which should make this page load a bit faster. I, also, removed the BG Chapter 1 help guide; as it's not of much use.

I've been thinking about doing frames. The only problem is that annoying yahoo box will appear in the largest frame. This would cause it to cover the updates more, where now it really only covers a button.

11/04/00 - Corrupted Files?

I had a couple emails telling me the CE & Bonus files were corrupted. So, I deleted them off and uploaded the again. This may have caused some problems for those trying to d/l them. Just try it again, everything seems to be working fine now.

For those having problems, I used WinZip 7.0 to zip the files. So, if you're using another zipping/unzipping program, you might want to d/l that. I don't know what else to suggest, as most everyone else seems to be having no problems.
