| Sunday 7th December 13 walkers enjoyed a 6 hour walk around the Baurearagh Circuit and Ridge. If you have ever been to the Glengarriff Woods, you will have seen the ridge commencing up behind Barley Lake and going right round to the Tunnels on the Kenmare Road. Yes that's right - it's a long way - 9 miles to be exact, plus another 45 minutes on the road to get back to the cars. It was an overcast and windy day, but dry. You can't ask more than that in December. And great ridge walking - fairly dry underfoot - and great views in all directions. And to cap it all, on the way down the road we saw the sun shining spectacularly through the clouds, although there were no sound effects! |
