| Blue Mountain is the closest ski area to Pennsylvania. It is located in the southern Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Blue offers Pennsylvania's highest vertical drop at 1082' (10' higher than Blue Knob). The small ski area is divided into two sections. The right side of the mountain skis down to two double chairs and has about 650' of vertical drop. The left side is serviced by the Comet Express Quad and a double chair. Blue has two lodges, one at the top of the mountain. This lodge is the main lodge and it is much nicer and better equiped than the lower (Valley Lodge). |
