Challenge is in my opinion, the best slope at blue mountain and one of the best slopes in the Poconos. It is a good long (3000'), steep trail. It is a little bland however. It has no particularly interesting contours. It is just a good steep slope. On th eright of Challenge you will find the mogul trail Razor's Edge (Mogul Run) They count it as a separate trail, but it really is part of Challenge and can be easily accessed from Challenge.
The slope is visible to the left of the Challenge double and is to the right of the Comet Express Quad. To get there from the Comet Express Quad, ski down Tut's Tomb for a little and turn right. There are signs to direct you to it.
Challenge, in addition to Main Street is the only legitamatly steep trail at Blue Mountain. It maintains a nice pitch hte whole way down, before dead ending into Falls, which is really just the lower part of Challenge. |
