Booking Terms and Conditions
1) BOOKING PROCEDURE and SECURITY DEPOSIT.
A Booking Form will be issued by Tuttlebee Rentals which acts as the agreement between both parties. Once availability is confirmed a provisional booking will be accepted but it is subject to receipt of a security deposit of £100 per week of rental. This deposit should arrive within 7 days and should be accompanied by a duly completed and signed Booking Form. The Booking Form with the correct deposit becomes a formal agreement and gives details of the client, and their accompanying party, and serves as an acceptance of the Booking Terms and Conditions. If the booking is made within 6 weeks of the commencement date, the full rental tariff, plus the security deposit must also be submitted (see clause 2 below). The person signing the Booking Form is personally liable for the total cost of the rental so booked irrespective of other names appearing on the form. Written confirmation will be issued by Tuttlebee Rentals upon receipt of the Booking Form and security deposit. Around two weeks prior to the rental commencement the keys of the apartment will be sent to the client. They will also be advised of the building entrance-door code. The client is the person making the booking and their agreement of the Booking Terms and Conditions shall include all other persons on whose behalf the booking is made.2) RENTAL PAYMENT and RETURN of the SECURITY DEPOSIT
The full rental tariff must be paid to Tuttlebee Rentals 6 weeks prior to the client's arrival date. The tariff is in addition to the security deposit. If the full payment is not received as indicated then the Owners reserve the right to cancel the booking without further notice to the client and any deposit paid will be forfeited. The security deposit will be retained until the end of the rental period, and will normally be returned within 7 days of the return of the keys. This period allows for the Agents to inspect the property and report if any significant damage or breakages have taken place. If damage has occurred, or keys are lost, the Owners reserve the right to make appropriate deductions from the deposit monies. If there is damage, the cost of which exceeds the security deposit, action will be taken for the recovery of the difference.3) RENTAL TARIFF and DURATION
The tariff quoted in the Booking Form and on the ski-accommodation web site are in pounds (£) sterling and cover the cost of a weeks rental, from Saturday to Saturday, unless otherwise agreed. The rental period,in French time, commences at 1600 hrs Saturday to 1000 hrs the following Saturday. The weekly tariff is inclusive of the French tourist tax and also includes: -
- Use of the studio apartment, with own balcony
- Use of all the equipment and utensils
- Use of the pillows, quilts and cushions
- Electricity,heating and water
- Television channels (with video capability)
- Telephone (incoming facility,but external calls chargeable)
- Dedicated boot, ski and clothes locker space
- Cleaning costs after guests vacate
The tariff is not based on the number of persons in the party but is the studio apartment complete. The size of the apartment, excluding balcony, is approximately 20 square metres and its facilities are explained in the ski-accommodation web site. It is left to the clients own judgement as to how large a party will be comfortable within the facilities available. Tuttlebee Rentals, or the owners, cannot be held responsible for the client's decision regarding his/her party.
4) LINEN and TOWELS
Bed linen, quilt covers or towels are not included within the quoted tariff. British-style oblong pillows and duvets (one double and two singles) are supplied uncovered for the three beds, and so clients may wish to take their own pillowcases, duvet covers and under sheets, as required. Alternatively the owners can make available linen for the week and the requirements will be put out by the apartments cleaner. The charges, per week, are as follows:-
- Double bed linen set: £14.00
- Single bed linen set: £10.00 per bed.
- Extra pillowcases: £2.00 each.
- Hand towels: £3.00 each.
- Bath towels: £4.50 each.
- Flannels: £1.00 each
Clients should indicate their requirements on the Booking Form if this extra service is required. Bed linen set consists of pillowcase(s), plus an under sheet and a duvet cover. The cleaners will charge Tuttlebee Rentals for the laundry of items used and therefore the client should pay in advance of the rental date.
5) CLIENT'S RESPONSIBILITY for the ACCOMMODATION.
The client, and their party, must undertake to behave in a manner not to cause distress, danger or injury to other parties within the apartment or the building, or to any other third party. The client shall indemnify Tuttlebee Rentals against all actions, loss, damages and costs whatsoever, in consequence of any claim by any person arising out of any act or default on the part of the client or any member of his/her party throughout the rental period. Tuttlebee Rentals, or the owners, reserve the right to deal with or settle any such claim as they in their absolute discretion see fit.6) APARTMENT HEALTH and SAFETY.
French Health & Safety regulations are different from those in the UK and apartments are not covered by all their regulations. The Owners endeavour to maintain their property in a safe condition, but they suggest that the guests should take care with the use of electricity and naked flames, and to observe normal Health and Safety measures. Extra care may be needed on the balcony or open staircases and particularly when children are in the party. NB. It is forbidden to bring inflammable gases and liquids onto the property. Your safety is your responsibility. However, it is important that if guests discover a possible hazard that they notify Tuttlebee Rentals in order that the Owners can do their best to rectify the situation.7) CANCELLATION of RENTAL by the OWNERS or AGENTS
Cancellation of the rental would occur if the client defaults in the payment of the balance of the rental tariff. Otherwise cancellation would only be in exceptional circumstances, or for reasons of "Force Majeure" which for the purposes hereof shall include, inter alia, fires, floods, storms, Acts of God, avalanche, riots, strikes, shortages of materials, lock-outs, wars, civil disturbances, Government control, restriction or prohibition, whether local or national, or any other causes whatsoever beyond reasonable control of the Owners or agents. In circumstances where the rental cannot be provided as booked, Tuttlebee Rentals, or the Owners, will return all monies paid to the client, or offer alternative accommodation of a comparable standard. However,it is unlikely that liability could be accepted under any circumstances for financial damage to holiday expectations, even under events caused by "Force Majeure", beyond the return of monies paid.8) CANCELLATION of RENTAL by the CLIENT
The client, or any member of the party, may cancel your rental providing that the cancellation is confirmed by the person signing the Booking Form and is communicated to Tuttlebee Rentals in writing. As this incurs costs Tuttlebee Rentals reserve the right to retain monies as follows: -
Greater than 42 days of arrival - 50% of the deposit Between 21 and 42 days of arrival - 70% of the tariff
Less than 21 days before arrival - 100% of the tariffThe refund may be improved if a re-booking can be obtained, although additional costs or financial detriment to Tuttlebee Rentals a result of the cancellation will have to be taken into account. Suitable travel insurance, in place when making the booking, to cover cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances (and winter sports additional coverage) is strongly recommended.
9) LOSS of PROPERTY
The loss of property could occur during the rental period or when guests have vacated the apartment. Great care should be taken not to leave unsecured items in the building, apartment or lockers. In the event that clients lose property whilst on holiday, or leave items in the apartment after vacating, no responsibility will be accepted by Tuttlebee Rentals should the items not be recovered or are damaged upon return. The client should cover postal costs of returning items to the client's home.10) Sub - letting
Tuttlebee Rentals, or the Owners, do not allow sub-letting of the properties under any circumstances. They reserve the right to terminate the rental forthwith and at any time if the action of sub-letting is discovered. The rental will be deemed to have been cancelled by the client and charges as set out in clause 8) will apply.11) BOOKING AGREEMENT
The rental booking is made on the terms of these Booking Terms and Conditions, and the Booking Form, which are governed by English Law and both parties shall submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts at all times.
