I'VE GOT YOUR NEWS RIGHT HERE PAL November 7, 2006 THINGS ARE GETTING INTERESTING... WHAT'S NEXT? I'm sure you all have heard and seen the stories. If you haven't and you've spent the better part of your time under a rock, here's what I know. Something we've been waiting for has finally happened, Van Halen is being nominated to The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. When I heard this I was like, "Uh oh, here we go". Sure enough, there came talks of a possible tour with... of all people, Dave. Yes, Diamond David Lee Roth. It looks like they're going to try to give it another go. How long will it last? A weekend? We'll see. The next bit of news I hear is maybe the most shocking for me. Michael Anthony is OUT of the band? WHAT?! What the hell is going on? Wolfgang, Eddie's son is taking Mikey's place as bassist. This is what I thought immediately after I heard Mike was out: "Was this Eddie's plan since lets say... 1999? Wait until Wolfie is old enough to carry his own weight, then let Mike go off with Sammy? This is why there was so little activity after Gary Cherone left the band. Besides the three songs on Best of Both Worlds and the 2004 tour of course. Ed was waiting and teaching Wolfie.". I know, it's really far fetched. Maybe I like crazy conspiracy theories involving rock bands, so sue me. Anyways, the BIG tour will be happening next year. But the tour will not be big. It will be HUGE. It will be bigger than HUGE. They will sell out stadiums. It will be KISS, The Rolling Stones, The Who and Hell freezing over with The Eagles all rolled into one. IF it ever happens that is. Why am I so pessimistic? How can I not? Remember the '96 MTV Video Music Awards and the fall out days later? The musical chairs with the lead singers. And now Mike is out. Thing's have gotten too crazy with this band. How can you follow it anymore? All we can do is just sit and hope for the best. The only thing is, the best doesn't come. Not with this band. So the real question is this: Can these guys pull their heads out of their asses, put their bullshit differences aside to make some music and better yet, a little bit of history? All we can do is wait and save your pennies boys and girls because, if tickets DO go on sale, they ain't gonna be cheap. Your buddy, Skev September 20,2006 WHO KNEW? Today I got an email from Geocities telling me that I got a new entry in my guestbook. I have never received a email like this before. So I check it out and there's 23 entries. Who knew there were so many entries? Sure wasn't me. Some friends of mine said that they signed the guestbook but they never appeared. This was YEARS AGO! Geocities finally pulled their head out of their ass. Now if anyboody else that maybe reading this, please sign the guestbook. IT IS NOW SAFE TO DO SO. Geez, I'm saying that like there was pain involved before. Just sign the friggin' book please. IT'S FUN! I approved all 23 entries even the qustionable ones.
