Hey
everyone. I thought up a new story, and this might seem like TMR
but just read it I'm going to tie it into TMR its before TMR and
after TM
Disclaimer: The Mummy and The Mummy Returns do not belong to me they
belong to Stephen Sommers, so I'm just borrowing them thanks. Adom is
mine, and any other character you don't recognize is also mine so ask
if you want to use them
Summary: I was watching the Mummy, half heatedly when and idea for a
story popped in my head. It's set between part one and part two, and
it has Imhotep back before part two so in part it will take your
acceptance of this, or to ignore the second movie as far as that
being Imhoteps second coming. Someone at the Cairo Museum decides to
bring Imhotep back, now its just one person so its not like The Mummy
Returns, and Alex does get taken which is like that but just read it
see, Here we go.

The Second Coming
Chapter 1: Adom's Discovery
Four years had passed since the first rise of Imhotep, and the city
of Cairo had quickly put that event behind them. There were no
traces of any of the damage that occurred due to his rise, and the
people had quickly learned to move on. Only one man seemed bent on
not forgetting, a young man who had studied the ancient times nearly
all of his life. For Adom, Imhotep's defeat had not been forgotten,
and in the four years since, he had studied all he could about the
city of Hamunaptra. He knew that the Med-jai protected it, even now,
and he also knew that the city could rise, and had a pretty good idea
of how to make that happen. The time for his job had come, and after
gathering all of his books, and supplies the young man bought a
camel, and decided to ride out into the desert alone, to the lost
city, or the remains of what once was.
Even though Hamunaptra had sunk into the sand, the Mad-jai had not
forgotten their duty to protect it's secrets from outsiders. The
elders took their jobs seriously in that matter, however, the younger
warriors were less serious, and one particular night Asim, and
Dakarai were the one's on watch for any intruders, though neither of
them were really doing the job they had been sworn to do.
"I do not see the urgency of watching over this city day in and day
out," Dakarai commented as he and his friend sat upon their horses
watching out over the ruins. His friends comment was also shared by
him, and Asim wished to be out protecting their village from other
tribes.
"Perhaps this once we can let our watch go. What is more important
is protecting the village," Asim said. They both decided to
leave
their post, and as they road off a lone man made his way over the
sands of Hamunaptra prepared to bring the city and Imhotep back to
rule over the world.
It was a chilly night when Adom made his way over the sands that had
once been Hamunaptra. He knew the risk on his life that he had taken
by traveling to the city, but he would die to bring back the rightful
ruler of Egypt. After settling his Camel and supplies behind one of
the great Dunes a long way from the city, so he could possible go
undetected, Adom made his way on foot within the walls of
Hamunaptra. The walls were the only visible reminder of Hamunaptra,
and Adom knew he would likely not find his way into the ruined city,
but he wouldn't give up. After almost an hour of looking around with
minimal light, the young man discovered a small mass sticking out of
the sand. He got his shovel and began to dig, knowing that his task
would not be finished for a few days, and that he would have to work
by night to protect himself from the Med-jai.
Many nights and days passed, all of which went undetected. As Adom
was beginning to lose hope of every getting into the city, his days
of hard work payed off. As he was digging one night, he had broken
through, and fallen deep within the city landing in a cavern. From
his pocket, he withdrew a book of matches, and took of his jacket
lighting it. The vast chamber he was in was the treasure chamber,
and for many moments he stood in shock. All he could see was gold
glistening from the light of the fire he held, then he yelped as it
burned his hand. He let the coat drop, and looked around finding
ancient torches. Before the light went out, he took one of the
torches and took his shirt off, wrapping that around the wood. Then
from his rucksack he took out the canister of oil he had, and poured
that over his shirt, and lit a brighter fire. All the studying he
had done, could not prepare him for what he found in the city, and he
walked for what seemed like miles before he finally found the room he
wanted, the sacrificial room. At the alter, or close to it he found
rotting bones, and not far from that the Black book of the Dead. A
smile spread across Adom's face as he moved to the book and picked it
up. He didn't know where Imhotep was, but knew that once he read the
words, his leader would rise, and the start of the new world would
begin
