Sunday, March 7th, 2004 Turkey Shoot-Out
After what looked like terrible weather forcasted for Sunday, I was finally convinced on Thursday that the weather would be perfect, and perfect it was.
We welcomed two new players to the sport: Raf, and Jesse. Both of which had very fancy and expensive looking markers, alrerady demonstrating their devotion to the game. Needless to say, they both did and excellent job on, and off, the field - and both scored some hits.
Team Intrepid was able to get a couple of games in together, and to much appreciation they did mighty fine. The first of the two consecutive games played by Team Intrepid resulted in Shane being shot out right from the break, but the team was able to stay together, despite the fact that they were out numbered by two players. In the second game, Dan held his own on the oppisition and made a last ditch attempt to bunker Nick, only to be shot out by Nick himself, Brendan, and Shane.
The first couple of games were a little tricky, the new talents of Jesse and Raff offset the usual experience balence, and finding the pefect matches for teams proved slightly difficult at first. Eventually everyone settled in and we were able to get some incredible games in.
No one person really did anything more outstanding than any one else on this day. Everyone had their moments, and that is truly the way Paintball should be played.
I apoligize for the lack of pictures on this page, and the page for February 28th. Cody and I have both been so caught up in the action that we have not remembered to take any. I can promise you this: Next time, we will have Mondo Pictures.
Props to: Nick B., Brendan, Dan, Tom, Rob, Raff, and Jesse for coming. Special thanks to: Nick B.'s mom for bringing drinks and food!
