Since I've started making KiSS dolls more seriously (and outside the digimon fandom)
I thought it might be a good idea to get a real page up. Very simple, nothing special,
but it gives me a place to store my dolls.
From now I'll probably be sending
my dolls to otakuworld. But after they go up there,
I'll post them here too. Kind of a private archive deal, for anyone who's
interested but doesn't have an account. I make my dolls with MS Paint (just like that
top image), WSCV for cels, notepad, and the PlayFkiSS viewer which is available at otakuworld
too.
Briefly, before anyone asks:
I don't take requests...I have trouble sticking to my own ideas
I won't mail you any dolls, mine or otherwise.
I'm not a pro at this yet, so I might not be the best person to ask
for help if you're stuck on a doll. I'm not a meanie tho, so if you have an
honest question, I'll try to help.
All dolls are in .zip files, so just extract the .lzh file after you d/l, and open it
with your viewer. I'd prefer none of the base dolls are used as templates, but screencaps
(even edits) of the dolls can be used whereever, if you give me a note of credit.
violet baudelaire
Dov gave me an Editor's Award for Violet! Whoo! She's my depiction of Lemony Snicket's
unfortunate character. She has a small wardrobe, but plenty of fun FKiSS effects.

gwen
First quality doll ^^ Submitted her to otakuworld, where she rated pretty well. Lots of clothes, blinking
and hair change effects. Snap to.

hikari (digimon)
Sort of a fun doll. The base is a little wonky, but there's a fair amount of
clothing and a lot of effects. Snap to. She's also quite talkative.

gender crisis mi-kun
(dedicated to kieru)
Rue always brought up the idea of Miyako/Yolei (digimon) going guy. So this is the
result. Small-ish wardrobe and only a hair change effect. My first released doll, so you know it sucks =P

| In progress dolls / ideas I'm working on:
A glam rock doll - I have the base doll and makeup/hair changes done on this one, but only
a couple of outfits. It's a boy doll, and I really like the way the base looks, even though it's a bitch to
work with. Too many layers. It's a huge project, so no telling when he'll be finished.
Stacy - Original character, also a boy doll. But with sort of girly clothes. I'm considering
making this into a couple doll, with both him and Linel (because they have fun clothing) but...we'll see.
Thrifty - A doll in a thrift store. With lots of random (but cheaply priced!) items.

There are a lot of KISS sites out there that
are super-fantastic. But here are some that I had
bookmarked for one reason or another, with resources and templates and such to get you started making your
own. Going to otakuworld's kiss page and checking out the artist's webpages is a good way to find more =)
Snippets - The place for templates, patterns, pallettes, etc! It even
has some FKISS coding to get you started.
Lina's KiSS page - Her dolls are cool, and she has a lot of templates and a full tutorial.
Unfortunatley the tutorial's in french, but I think the rest of her site can be viewed in English.
FKiSS Tutorial - Top notch. If you're new to FKiSS or want to trouble shoot your coding
this is a good place to check. The explanations are simple and thorough.
Invisible KiSS Links - A huge archive of KiSS links. Lots of good stuff, if you're willing to look.
