The trail is 6.5 miles. We started at West Tyson park. The trail is used for biking and is quite rugged at that end. It is beautiful though we didn't see much wild life .There is a prairie when you get close to the railroad tracks. The trail also is in sight of the
Meramec river before it gets to Castlewood and for a while in Castlewood. Most of the trail in Castlewood is mainly a road the travels alongside the tracks. The trail in Lone Elk is steep and short. All in all it was a very beautiful trail. |
