Walker Laing 40 Carronshore Local Government Officer (Social Work) 33 & 357 Bangers & 2L Saloons Bangers 1978, Saloons 2000 @ Racewall No wins although managed to get into the points in my first outing in a Saloon It's something I've always wanted to do since my dad took me to Cowdenbeath in the 60's Harry Burgoyne and Rob Speak Kings Lynn F2's Haven't got one, either that or I'm too scared to mention in case they get me the next time I'm out on the track! Cowdenbeath - just too fast and scary! Hot Rods Managed to get on the front cover of unloaded 7.3 but on the track, putting Diggy Smith into the armco in the World of Shale at King Lynn (he still came out of the bend before me!) My first ever heat in the Saloons, I forgot to tighten up the wheels and knackered two rims Never get a chance to look in the mirror, too busy trying to see where I'm going and keep the car on track (not joking!) Tully of Tully Motorsport To be able to afford a season in the Saloons To race at the World and a few other big races this year Alan Ainslie #777 for giving me the use of his cars, Harry Burgoyne for the use of his transporter, Raymond Toye #221 for giving me a hand when I need it and also Tully for his vast experience and support. |
| Many thanx to this man, Walker Laing, for getting me many of the profiles featured on this site. Walker is a mechanic for Saloon #777 Alan Ainslie and has also done a bit of racing himself, pictured here in 2000 when he borrowed Alan's car at the Racewall. Cheers Walker! |
