| Dave Rennie Profile |
Dave Rennie 32 Stenhousemuir Despatch Driver 764 Bangers, Stock Rods, Bangerstox and Pro-Stocks August 1991 at Armadale in a 2L Capri Sport Banger '91 Bangers@Armadale, '93 Bangers@Cowdenbeath & Crimond, '94 Bangers@Cowdenbeath & Crimond (Best prepped car@Munster w/e), '96 Stock Rods@Cowdenbeath, '97 Bangers@Onchan IOM, '99 Bangerstox@Cowdenbeath (various 2nds & 3rds but still no wins), 2001 Bangerstox & Pro-Stocks Followed the racing for years, just had to give it a go! Speaky #318, Lindsay Wilson #246, Gordon Barclay #99 and Les Kay #64 Racewall & Onchan to race, Bradford was good, Coventry was also decent Saloons & BriSCA F1's - good hard racing None - if you've got the bottle to give it a go you deserve praise of some sort! None - if they race Stockies I'll be there, eventually! I'll watch anything Started from red in Bangerstox, had worked my way upto 2nd with 3 to go. Going into T1 the leader ran wide, I dived up inside and ran into back of Jim Dillon who had just fired Davy Williams. Wrecked front of motor but managed to get the car around for 2nd None, you get a buzz from them all, good or bad. You just learn from the bad ones Rarely look in them, usually only when I'm reversing out of the wall! My Uncle John (he was car daft but never actually raced), probably all the racers I watched in the 70's and 80's To win a race (being able to paint my roof with the Saltire would be the ultimate for me) and a move into Saloons. To publish a worthwhile paper/mag for Stock Cars - coming soon! To survive this season and just take it as it comes Car Gear (Larbert) Diamond Engineering (Camelon & Livingston) A1 Auto Salvage (Loanhead), EPV for their sponsorship, it's much appreciated! Also to Duck (& the lads) for helping out and of course the wife Sharon and the bairns Callum and Courteney for putting up with the aggro! |
