Featuring Dick Nasty, Three Jerk reaction, Knaw, Community Cervix and Yoink!

It's really fun to go out when your oncall and constantly lookin at your beeper to see if it's gone off! Or maybe NOT! I got to say I did miss worshipping the Toohey's Old beer god tonite.

The turnup wasn't too bad, around 100 people went, varied crowd, some wild pool games and some freaks. Does anyone know who that freak was in the orange t shirt and white rimmed sunnies was? Oh hang on Charlie Voltron mite know he was bedazzled by her outstanding conversation and tantalizing tits.

Isn't it amazing that once guys who are well known in the "scene" don on a guitar, drums or a mic suddenly some gals are saying: "Wow isn't such and such cute?" Fark gals grown up being in a band now hasn't changed who these guys are and what they stand for. Tonite was Dick Nasty's official third gig- Well done not a bad set at all! The line up includes: Geordie, Matt, Charlie, Lucas and Cuffy. These guys have been strong supporters of the scene for a while now- so I know that these guys musta practiced a lot before they "came out". They have a wide range in punk style- from hardcore through to Ramones style. Apparently they have 18 tunes- 16 of which are originals and 2 covers (Ramones and Minor Threat). Each guy in the band participates in the writin of songs hence the wide range in styles. Vocals are shared by many, though I must say Charlie's voice shocked me (in a good way). Matt seemed a little out of place when he wasn't singing (does vocals only) but I am sure with a little practice he will be jumping around like a crazied dude on speed when he's not singin soon enough. These guys were the only band of tonite not to have some technical drama. I will be watchin these guys in the future as I'm sure they won't only just be good they will be great. It's nice to see some new blood hit the stage especially when originals get cranked out. (Note: See Geordie I did like ya!)

Even though Three Jerk Reaction had a totally sloppy performance I got to say when they played I enjoyed each tune. Matt I reckon should be a rock star- he just has that certain something about him. Don't ask me what I don't really know myself but I hope he continues pumping out riffs and lyrics for a long while. Technical difficulties galore- drums kit kept moving- Cheers to Chris Nob for placing his butt on it to make it stable- broken strings and forgotten lyrics.

Knaw! These guys are still one of my favourite BrisVegas bands around today. You know em I'm not goin rave on and on again.

Community Cervix were the BEST I have ever seen em. They got some extra additions to the band -Sue on Sax and Kev on bongos/percussion. Oh course they played their normal songs for them but this time - WOW!!!!!

Yoink weren't bad but it wasn't their finest either. Leon (singer) seemed like his mind was elsewhere. There were some heart felt songs dedicated to a few chosen in the crowd. Tunes played were from their CD - so go and BUY it! Resistance is Useless!!!

PS I finished this review a while after the fact as you woulda noticed hence it's a bit shitty- sorry!
