| 2005 U.S. Adult Championships, Kansas City, KS, April 13-16 For a complete report please read the journal. This was an important competition in my skating career - I had an epiphany! Freestyle 4th Qualifying, 5th Overall, 3rd in Interpretive. Lori Fussell won the Interpretive Event !! Click Here for Article and photos of us at AN. 2005 Adult Midwestern Championships, Colo Springs March 5 I switched to the Summit FSC in Breckenridge, so my region/section changed. Since the comp was is CO, I thought I would go give it a try in preparation of Adult Nats. There were 5 skaters in Silver I, not as many as I thought there would be. I took out my axel since it was shakey. I guess it was a good idea. Freestyle 1st Photos Click Here Intermountain Adult Open, Salt Lake, UT November 5-6, 2004 It has been a year and a half since I competed and I was so excited to get back out there! I competed in Adult Silver Jumps and Silver Freestyle. I had not passed my silver test, but skated up a level. Jumps 2nd, Freeskate 2nd. Adult National Figure Skating Championships, Ann Arbor, MI April 9-12, 2003 My first ever Adult Natinal competition! I had no idea what to expect and was blown away by the outcome! I skated in Ladies Bronze Level 1 and Ladies Interpretive Level 1. (Level 1 is 25-35 year of age). More info is in the journal. Qualifying Round Freeskate, 2nd, Final Round, 4th, Interpretive, 4th. Click here for Photos and newspaper article about Adult Nationals The Jackson Hole Invitational March 14-16, 2003 My second competition of my adult life was another wonderful experience. I trained harder than ever and my programs were much more challenging than last years. More info is in the journal. Team Event 1st, Artistic 1st (tie), Freestyle 2nd The Jackson Hole Inviational March 15-17, 2002 This was my first competition since I was about 12 years old. I competed at the Adult Level in Artistic, Freestyle and Interpretive. I also was in a team event made up of 2 adults and 2 preliminay skaters. I performed a flip jump in the Team Event. My Artistic performance was to "Calypso" by John Denver and the Freestyle program was musical selections from "Anne of Green Gables". I only had 1 or 2 other Adult competitors, so my odds of getting a gold medal were good. But, I still had to go out and perform in front of judges and an audience. It was a great experience and great practice for larger competitions. It is hard when your best skating buddy is your competitor.
