The Story of Secret Bear
Long ago, in a distant country, there lived a king whose son would not talk to anyone. He wasn't sick but, no one could get him to say a word. The king offered a big reward to whomever could get him to talk. People came from far and near. Even the Care Bears came. Everyone was sure the Care Bears could get him to speak. They failed like the rest. A few hours later, another bear showed up. "Can I please try?" asked the bear.
"Sure."replied the king. He whispered something in the boys' ear. To everyone's surprise, he whispered something back. The boy stood up and greeted everyone in the room. "How did you make him talk?" asked the king.
"Well," said the bear,"he was afraid of people, but you build trust by showing trust. So, I told him a secret about me, and he told me a secret. Sharing secrets."
"Once we were friends, I wasn't afraid anymore!" said the boy. The Care Bears liked the bear so much, they asked him if he would want to become a Care Bear. He accepted and has been known as Secret Bear ever since.
