| Skydome: There are some metal and wooden benches, banked walls, stairs, and curbs. There are also some small and big handrails which are lots of fun. Security hardly ever kicks you out, and you might recognize some of the spots from popular skate videos. Closest Subway Station: Union Commerce Court: Commerce Court is a huge courtyard with numerous obstacles to skate. There are tons of ledges, stairs, and rails in the front. Keep your eyes open for security, because they hate skaters. It's the kind of spot that's fun to skate at night. Closest Subway Station: King CBC Broadcast Centre: CBC is one of my favourite places to skate. There is tons of curbs, gaps, ledges, drops, marble obstacles, and it was actually built for skateboarding! It's a great place because it's in the center of downtown Toronto and it's really popular. Closest Subway Station: King Bickford: One of the best free skate spots in Toronto. There is about 3 ledges, ramps, lots of stairs, and tons of waxed obstacles. Closest Subway Station: Christie Islington Station: Right outside the station in the parking lot, there is a really long waxed curb. It's about 60 or 70 feet long, and gets higher and higher as you move along. If you cross the street you'll find lots of handrails and stairs. If you keep going, you'll find even more rails, stairs, and waxed curbs. Closest Subway Station: Islington Roy Thompson Hall: Roy Thompson Hall is a great place to skate. It's a really wide open area with lots of long, marble blocks, waxed curbs, small drops, waxed up ledges, small stairs, and a water gap. Security hardly ever hassles you, and it's right across the street from CBC. Closest Subway Station: St. Andrew BCE Place: It has lots of stairs all around, with tons of marble blocks, and a rail down five stairs. Watch out, because security is very unpredictable. Closest Subway Station: Union TD Centre: On one side there is lots of stairs, ledges, tiny gaps and drops, and some more obstacles on the other side of the street. Security hardly ever bugs you, and lots of pros have skated there. Closest Subway Station: King Courthouse: There's a few stairs with small ledges in the front. In the back, there's lots of waxed up benches. Watch out, because security gets worse and worse everyday. They'll kick you out really fast. Closest Subway Station: St Patrick or Osgoode Bay and Wellesley: Lots of waxed up ledges, tons of drops, a few gaps, stairs, and lots of open space. Security is pretty tough during the week, but fine on weekends. Closest Subway Station: Wellesley |
