Fan Encounter #1

1995 Elvis Tour in Hamilton, Steven Encounter!

I'm a huge Steven Cousins fan, and I 've met him so I thought I would  share my story with you. I met him at the 1995 Elvis Tour in Hamilton, Ontario.  He was just the  nicest guy (as was his mom  who sat behind me during the practice session.)
After the show, I was backstage when it was time for the skaters to go upstairs to where the reception was being held.So I got to walk up with them and wound up being eye level with Steven's butt going up the escalator.  What surprised me , though,  was when we were going into the reception room and the security staff  was making sure everybody going in had reception passes. They stopped Stevem and asked to see his pass! He handled it very well  and calmly, rather shyly said, "Uh, I'm one of the skaters." They acted suspicious  at first but finally let him it. It was so bizarre! Steven was wonderful at the reception, signing for everybody who asked, and he even let my friend and me come behind the table, sit down next to him and have our pictures made wtih him. That smile of his makes me melt, and that photo is one of my most treasured possessions.

Fan Encounter # 2
Spring, 1995
I have met Steven Cousins two times. The first time was in Memphis, Tennessee at a postshow thing after Target Stars on Ice. I was there as a straight up Ilia fan, and I still am, but I love Steven Cousins too. I was just standing there watching all these stars walk by and I see  Steven. I yell out for him, and he smiles and says in his beautiful British accent, "I will be right back, ok?" I smiled. He signed my program for me and I thanked him very much. He smiled and said "no problem.". I did not think to get his picture then.

Fast forward exactly one year later.I was sitting in ther lobby of the Peabody hotel sipping Shirley Temples with a fellow Krew member (Ilia's fan club) and I spot Scott Hmailton and Steven Cousins. I drag myself overthere, trying to calm my nerves. I hold out my hand and introduce myself to Steven. He smiles and shakes my hand. I ask him for the picture that I did not think to get the year before.  We took a couple of pictures and stuff. We started talking about his tour diary and the tour. We talked about back stage passes. We talked about me being his biggest fan anywhere. He was very nice and generous and very gracious. Steven was very kind, and he thanked us for coming to the shows. He is a very warm individual and
I hope to meet him again! Thanks Steven!
