Remastering many of the songs and perfecting them with new effects are few of the things occupying Khalid's musical time lately. All the Skarred songs and solo projects Khalid has done are being completed to sound as proffesional and as "artistically" powerful as possible. Inspired by John Frusciante's new album the newer songs promise to be very catchy but also something never heard before, somewhat an electronic guitar mix with some gated and well sounding vocals. The songs of the past are even being changed since, the fact that no effects or proper quality recording technics were added to them they sounded a little generic or unflavorful. Yet now even the songs you've heard will have a little more life and little more flavor in them thanks to the effects added. Khalid has been working on an album in the U.S. with a close friend and guitarist Joey Murphree. The two have just started recording and will continue releasing songs on this page.
Skarred's last album sounded awkward due to the fact that the drums were not included, but with this new project during the writing of the songs Joey and Khalid anticipated the fact that no drums are included. Making sure the songs are complete even without drums.
The first song "Burn In Rage" is based on moving on with your life and taking the next step, or staying where you are and never maturing.
