Not much of love at first sight...
On a normal day of school near christmas, a new student arrives in Sakura's class. His name is Li Syaoran and he comes from Hong Kong. The second he steps in the classroom, he just can't stop fixing Sakura (but not in a loving way). She feels very wierd about that and just can't concentrate because she senses the wierd way he is always looking at her. Finally, during the break, he approaches her... and tries to force her to hand over the Clow Cards. Not a very good start for the couple!
Chase for cards and Yukito
When Syaoran sees Yuki for the first time, he blushes so hard, feels all wierd and runs away. The other times he sees him, he tries to get closer to him... and then runs away again. Is this love? Who knows! Anyway, Sakura has no intention in letting him win Yukito's heart. They are now more than rivals for cards, but also for Yuki's attention.
Hardly friends
While each of them collect cards, Syaoran gets closer to Sakura. She doesn't want there to be hate between them. She wants to be his friend. He finds himself caring about her, giving her tips... and even helping her with the cards. He tries to remain cold and concentrated on his mission, but it seems that it doesn't work all the time!
Uh! Oh! Here comes the fiance!
Then Li Meilin arrives suddenly from Hong Kong. She has the firm intention of helping Syaoran with the Clow Cards... and winning his heart! This arrival doesn't stop Syaoran and Sakura from getting even better friends, though Meilin feels Sakura is a threat to her couple. She is always trying to surpass her in everything. Syaoran even finds himself blushing in Sakura's presence. But time passes, and she and Meilin become friends. But near the end of the quest for the Clow Cards, Meilin must go back home.
Falling...
Then Sakura is chosen master of the cards. Syaoran has to go back to Hong Kong to tell his mother. Hopefully, an other student arrives just in time; it's Eriol. This fellow seems to have a lot of affection for Sakura, which drives Syaoran crazy and way jealous. Unconsciously, he sees Eriol as a rival. He feels he has to stay some more in Japan. This decision makes Sakura so happy!
To be together ??
Time passes... Syaoran really cares about Sakura. In fact, he loves her so much! When he learns it, he has quite a shock. Who would have thought this would happen to him? But Sakura still loves Yukito. Are they really destined to be together?
Will Syaoran finally conquer her heart? Will she let go of Yukito? Will they PLEASE kiss each other for once?? That's what you will see if you read (or watch) CARD CAPTOR SAKURA!!
