The next morning Dr. Whiteman give you and
Ling an Omicron boat so that you can rescure Bill
from his cave.
  As you reach the cave you call out, "Bill! Hey, it's 
me. How're you doing?"
  "Hi," Bill shouts, raising himself up from where
he was resting. You are relieved to see that he looks
better than when you last saw him- it seems
weeks ago. "Wow!" he says. "Is it really you? I was
worried sick when you didn't come back from the 
boat."
  "It's really me," you assured him, laughing. "And
I've brought a friend with me, Chih Long of the
People's Republic of China. We've both managed
to help each other escape from an Omicron
prison. And we even stole a boat that can carry us
all safely to New Guinea."
  Carefully you and Long load Bill onto the boat.
Then you set off for New Guinea. An hour after
you leave the cave, Bill falls asleep. Ling looks
questioningly at you, and you nod agreement.
This is the perfect time to fit your friend with the
new Omicron control device. It makes you ex-
tremely happy to do what your masters want you 
to do. And you know how nice it will be to give the
devices you are carrying in suitcases to your family
and friends.
