Wow! How skateboards have changed over the years! Can you beleive that the first skateboard trucks were made out of a strip of metal with wheels and a spring for turning? when i first saw it I couldn't beleive it! and look at the wheels! They are so skinny! You can't tell but there are tiny little bearings in those wheels. (I will try to get the pic of the wheels close up) And also look at the name of the company. "Humco Surfer?" And it has surfboards on it. That is

right...SKATEBOARDING CAME FROM SURFING THOSE OF YOU WHO DIDN'T KNOW! You would have never thought would you? Well neither did I. I was amazed when I saw it came from surfing. Do you know why they made skateboards? Well if not it is because if you didn't have or afford a surfboard, you could always make a surfboard with wheels. Yup, they were fisrt made by people who didnt have surfboards...so they substituded for it by making skateboards. This was NOT the first skateboard ever made people...it was the first skateboard ever manufactured and sold. Well now that you know where it came from you can tell all your skater friends.
