i'm never going to dxo again.

we paid $18 to get in, queued for half an hour, then they told us at the door that we had to go exchange what we'd thought were our tickets for the real ones at some counter. annoying enough, fine, we went to queue at the counter. ended up standing there for 2 hours total. in the rain. absolutely fuming. bouncer didn't give a damn, basically told us to screw off. scene was made, bengs argued with staff, organiser refused to show cowardly face, table was bashed down. eventually we left cos standing in heels is tiring.

i mean hey okay maybe you're at full capacity, fine, at least make some kind of restitution right. after all we paid to get in and ended up wasting time money and effort instead. like maybe let us use our old tickets to get into the next event. or give us free drinks coupons or something. it's not like they can't afford it. and they'd not only improve their rep with clubbers as a club that cares, but also open the door for themselves to make even more money at the next event when people with free entry from these tickets are buying drinks by the jug. seriously that would be a much smarter pr move than just flipping us the bird the way they did. grr.

okay besides that. dotaing every night = fun. xmas eve countdown was endless rounds of go fish and saikang daidee with the boys - kenny uncle wei shihan charles czekin uu tim. church grad rocked at just $8, candles, tablecloths, best dressed prizes, the works. as well as the nice food and even nicer company :) and tonight was last cell + hotseat. uu is a nice boy! cos he lent me his jacket :) and uncle wei is a nice boy cos he cooked me nice soup when i said i hadn't eaten the whole day. or a nice girl since he says he's a chiobu and wants to be my sister. HAHA. auntie wei! XD

and finally, work. beauty promoter + auntie killer at toa payoh. pay sucks right now cos it's largely commission based and i'm not selling very much so i'm only getting the basic. plus it's physically and mentally tiring both. standing the whole day, trying to get aunties to stop and listen to you talk, then trying to make them buy your product. but i've definitely learnt way more off this job than i could ever have had i taken the marks and spencer job. it's so easy, to forget that the reason i chose this job in the first place was to learn, in the midst of my frustration, and to think of giving up.

foremost of these lessons i've learnt, of course, is never to take a job like this again. HAHA

as well as how to read people. perseverance. tolerance. determination. persuasion skills. people skills. how to be an auntie killer! and linguistic skills. i seriously think my chinese has improved X)

anyway after this is over i am SO getting a better paying job. i need the money man. anyone has any lobangs please recommend :)

in the meantime, anyone wants to try a free makeover?
