Cache Engine System based on Linux and Squid - The system uses hard disk as the boot media. Beside as the boot media, a hard disk can also used for cache objects storage media, which is located in its second partition. So when the system boots, all compressed packages and kernel are extracted and moved to ram disk. In other word system works over ram disk. System that has been made acts as proxy cache server. This proxy cache server has transparent proxy characteristic and uses squid as the cache software. Using this cache engine system can reduce the network traffic weight and also optimizing the use of Internet bandwidth. And also the file system damages caused by the power suddenly off, can be reduced because all file system safe stored in hard disk.
