| Liberty, Mo., Dec 7-L.D. Fisher, formerly of Pittsburg died unexpectantly at 3 p.m. Saturday at his farm home near Liberty Mo. He was working in his fields at teh time of death. He was 80. Mr. Fisher moved from his rural Pittsburg home 10 years ago to make his home near here. He had farmed in the Pittsubrg area most of his life. He was born Jan. 20, 1884 in Indiana. he and Mrs. Fisher celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 25, 1964. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors are the widow, Sarah Fisher of the home, three daughters, Mrs. Vernetta Lee of Kansas City, Mrs. Glessie Crowe of Pittsburg, R.R.3, and Mrs Nellie Mae Stanton of Richwood, N.J.; two sons, Lavern Fisher of Liberty and Irvin Fisher of Belton, Mo., twenty grandchildren and 37 great grand children. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Liberty branch church in Liberty. Following services, he will be brought to the Smith mortuary in Pittsburg where services will be conducted by Elder T. W. Bath at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Bird Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Smith Chapel. |
