He is ECAHS certified as 62% Crabbet/Blunt breeding.
He is a black bay with minimal white. *Muscat is grandsiring quite a bit of cutting, reining horses, and hunter/jumper horses. Kourage has his dam's bone density, and his sire's built like a tank stockiness. He will make an excellent adult rider trail horse! Endurance may be in his future also. He has an awesome low sweeping extended trot.
In summer, Kourage does not display a dapple horse coat...he displays a brindling of his coat...stripes instead of dots! They disappear with his winter coat, but every summer he gets his "zebra stripes". I don't know enough to know if this is a true brindling or a variation, I've never seen this before on a horse.
He has good clean legs and joints. Good withers for a nice saddle fit.
I have exposed him to fireworks....big and small, gunfire, atv's, wheelchairs, bikes, umbrellas, etc. He stands for the farrier and can be touched anywhere on his body. He has been saddled and bitted now and did not fuss, such a good boy!!
Added family duties by taking care of an aging parent, is why I'm offering him for sale. Kourage want's more time with his people...to the point of walking the fenceline by the house whinnying, when he knows I'm there.
