- Wedding Rock -

If Agate Beach is the park's claim to fame, then Wedding Rock is definitely a close second. The rock is famous for its weddings, of course.  Years ago, the caretaker of the area thought it would be a great idea if he were to wed on a rock. Well, he did and the rock has been called Wedding Rock ever since. And since then, wouldn't you believe it, hundreds of happy couple have tied the knot there as well.  The rock can handle weddings of small sizes with a bride and groom who don't care about getting a little dirty.  If you are lucky enough to have no rain, then the setting couldn't be better.  Weddings take place on the west side of the rock, but on the opposite side there is a small sand hill that many don't know about. If you have the change, I suggest checking it out. Other events of historical significance have taken place at the rock. Josh and Tonya Van Der Kamp were engaged on the rock on August 6, 2000.  Wedding rock is a great location for so many things, see for yourself. Be sure to check out the waves crashing into the south-west side of the rock.
