- Abalone Point -

Abalone Point, the only landmark on the water's edge between Rocky Point and Palmer's Point. The point juts out into the Pacific, but not as far as Rocky and Palmer's. The point is just a short hike from Abalone Campground. It is another great place to watch the sunset from, though since it is so close to the campground there are much better places to watch Mr. Sunshine disappear for the day. Down along the water you are likely to see waves crashing against some of the huge rocks, and you may be likely to see a grown man stuck on top of a rock, but that's another story.
