The 1999 NIFA National SAFECON was hosted by Kansas State University and held in Salina Kansas. The airmeet was attended by 30 different College and University flight teams. The following awards were won by the San Jose State University Precision Flight Team:

• 1st Place CRM-LOFT (second straight year): Robert Martin & Rob Bolling
• 9th Place Short Field Landing: Brian Sessman
