			Dear Sir or Madam: In 2007, San Jose State University will be a participant in the V-Day College Campaign. By being granted the rights for a benefit production of Eve Ensler�s award-winning play, The Vagina Monologues, we will be one of hundreds- maybe even thousands- of events around the world channeling their creative energy into raising money and awareness for local organizations that work to stop violence against women and girls. 2007 will mark the fourth year that SJSU has participated in the V-Day College Campaign. Part of what makes this event so special is the opportunities it offers businesses in the local community to participate in this global movement, to celebrate and honor the women and girls in your life and community, to be a part of a collective voice, a voice that refuses to be ignored, a voice that says NO to violence against women and girls. In 2004, V-Day SJSU raised over $9,000, with proceeds going to the YWCA Rape Crisis Center and Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence. In 2005, V-Day SJSU raised $7,000.  You�re your assistance, we are hoping to exceed year 2004�s amount so that we may provide this year�s beneficiaries�AACI�s Asian Women�s Home; YWCA Rape Crisis Center; Casa Amiga Crisis Center--with as much financial support as possible.  In addition to ticket sales, V-Day San Jose State University will be selling raffle tickets. All proceeds from both the ticket sales and raffle tickets will go towards this year�s beneficiaries. Your generosity is appreciated as we ask for any monetary donations, prizes and/or services that you can provide to help our cause. Our V-Day performances will be held on March 15th and 16th, 2007 at 7:00 pm. Therefore, we would greatly appreciate it if all responses could be made by February 23, 2007.
