Hope everyone is having a great summer. If you feel like really brushing up on your badminton skills this summer, why not sign up for the 2002 camp!.

-2002 Badminton Camp at San Jose State University!!!

Featuring:

1. Open Badminton training for players of any age and any level.

2. Ling-Wei Li who is the 18 times World Champion, Chinese National Women's Single Team Head Coach, and International Badminton Federation Executive Committee Official.

3. Badminton Professors: Dr. Charlie Song and Dr. Gong Chen.

July 8th-July 26th Monday thru Friday

Registration deadline is June 30th, 2002. Spaces are limited, so act quickly! For more information on sessions and camp fees, please view the application form.

-There will be no more open gym after Wednesday May 15th. New Open Gym schedule will resume in the fall. Evergreen Valley College is usually open on Fridays throughout the summer if you're looking for a place to play.

-Good Luck on finals everyone! Congrats to graduates of 2002! And have a cool summer :)

-Sad News...due to intramural sports, Badminton Open Gym will ONLY be open on FRIDAYS starting February 11 until March 18.

January

2002

-School will resume on January 23rd. More information about open gym will be posted then.

-BAOpen is hosting a badminton tournament called the Bay Area Open Spring 2002 at SJSU. The set date for this event is January 18, 19, and 20. Entry forms must be received by January 11, 2002. For more information and entry forms, please visit www.shuttlecock.com

-According the the Associated Students office, badminton open gym should resume as of Monday, January 28, 2002. Have fun!

December

2001

-Days are closing in on Christmas and finals are in the air. Good Luck to you all!

-The last badminton club meeting for 2001 will be Friday, December 7th. We will be having a BBQ at the BBQ pit on campus near Central Classroom building. RSVP with My or Thuyen if you are planning to go so they know how much food to bring.

-The last day for Open Gym is Tuesday, December 11 [Has been extended to Friday, December 14]. Have a safe and wonderful holiday everyone! Open gym will resume about one week after the spring semester starts. Exact dates will be posted then.

-Welcome to the new, improved, and updated website. Sorry pictures might be blurry on certain computers. They are really good but "look" blurry when up loaded. If anyone would like the original picture sent to them, just email us describing which one. Picture Request

-The end of the semester is fast approaching. Good luck to all of you on your projects, term papers.

-Great news! Spartans won the home meet against Berkeley on November 11. Great Job! We are on our way to a fabulous year.

-We are holding our first open tournament in quite a long time. You might want to come out and check out our "Fall 2001 Spartan Challenge." It's going to be held on November 17th and 18th. Good luck to you all!

-The tournament went great! Thank you to all participants and helpers.
