Building The Ashley
S & J
Miniatures
After over 25 years in the miniature hobby, I decided to build my first dollhouse.  This would never have become a reality without the help of my wonderful husband Jim.  He builds RC model airplanes (going to add some of his pictures soon) so has experience with building models.  It has been a learning experience to say the least.  .
This is the beginning of a very large and long project.  We have a 12' X 8' old train table in our basement. I have the Ashley (half finished), the Layfette (in the box), and a small house I won at a mini show (finished), the Country Manor (in the box), The Farmhouse (to be remodeled and put back together), a gazebo (finished),  and several store fronts (still in the box).  All this is going to be built, and put on the train table and landscaped.  I am still in the planning stage so not sure what the small house will have inside.  Maybe stores with living quarters upstairs.
As I finish a part I will post pictures on the site.

Front roof with dormers.  We were missing some piecies so Jim made them for me.

Spiral stairs after they were taken apart not once but twice.  Decided I would do them again later.

Still more sanding and painging to do but the actual building is finished!
Steps are still giving me a fit but at least they are together.
This is what the Ashley has become.  Welcome to Pat's Place
