Here's our cool group in front of the National Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. Nick's "Brother" took the picture for us;)
Yup, that was the yummy Ethiopian restaurant, and yes, Stephie is actually eating the food!  Well...not much of it...
We visited the church in Montgomery where Martin Luther King, Jr. used to preach.  Formerly the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church, it has been renamed as
a memorial to King and now stands as The
Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church.
Spring Break, 2001!
Aren't we beautiful?  Here I am with Desiree in all her pink glory in Washington, D.C. after hearing Julian Bond speak at American University.
See that thing in Nick's hand?  That orange thing?  That, my friends, is the Freedom Orange.  Nick insisted that it be in the pictures with us as a reminder.  (See, it's in the picture above too!)  Anyway, this is at MLK's parsonage in Birmingham, AL.
All photos by Brett Mountain, except the one of me and Desiree, taken by Tara Ghastin.
