| OK, OK, so it should really be titled "My Personal Bi-Weekly Blog" but I've been busy. I also would have been finished with this earlier if IE didn't decide to shut me down just for trying to look up a link. Oh, well, what can you do with the great dictator that is Microsoft? Sunday--K & L both had colds so Stan went in the am and I went in the pm. I told him he ought to be there in case they made him stand up. I also told him that we'd better work on being on time to church from now on. The sermon in the evening was great. We had a visiting pastor and he was very low-key. In hind sight I wonder if that is how Edwards delivered his most famous sermon? I believe it is how I've heard the story at least. At any rate I had to get the CD (we are technologically advanced at our church *cough-cough*). I also picked up the am. Of course, I haven't had a chance to listen to either yet but I'm thinking of typing up the evening service and putting it on my other blog. Of course, this always leaves me with guilt. I get as many sermons as I can on tape but the list of people getting tapes when the pastor is gone seems longer. I feel bad. Monday--Back to the grind. I swear we will never skip another week of school as long as I live. What a headache. Somehow Stanley forgot how to add. He forgot all his parts of speech and how to label a sentence. Fortunately he didn't forget much else. Tuesday--I took K to dance in the am. I think we are going to stick with this class if the teacher will let him. He's not really ready for the next level yet. I've finally accepted that my boys are just slower than the fast paced children around them. That's ok, I'm pretty slow myself. We did not go anywhere else because by the time we were supposed to leave for the library I felt like I needed a nap. After I was done with Stanley's last lesson I went and slept for two hours. I should have realized something was wrong but it didn't register until a few hours later when I was ready for bed when the kids went to bed. I spent most of the night on the sofa listening to the soothing voice of Hamid Karzai. I swear I need a tape of that guy for the next time I'm feeling ill. His voice is so calm and soft. A nice break from the twang of the President, IMO. Wednesday--I woke up feeling only a sore throat and thought the most of the sickness to be gone. But as the day wore on my head began to feel like it was going to explode. I spent most of the day on the sofa reading books to Kurtis with my eyes closed. Stanley deserves a reward for completing his school work as quietly as possible. That evening we had to go to the park for Baseball pictures. That morning I noticed that Stanley's shirt is covered with stains that I hope will not show up in the photos. I wish they'd have these at the beginning of the season instead of near the end. Today--Was a normal day. We did school and piano lessons. I read the MOTH book and worked on a schedule. OK, so that last part isn't the norm but I hope that it will help. I need all the help I can get. If I am successful you can all thank Perri. It was her book. She, however, is already organized and responsible enough to not need it. I'd link you to her blog but she apparently doesn't like me anymore because everytime I try to go to her blog my IE shuts down. Oh, well, another day. Now I must get to bed so I can rise early and have a test run of my new schedule. If all goes well I'll be able to blog everyday. Won't that just be grand? I know you are all looking forward to it. All two of my readers. |
